I thought Themanonthehill might like this. It involves his favourite player in John Morris.

From weststigers.com.au

Wests Tigers rugby league players Chris Heighington and John Morris will help The Smith Family pack food hampers at Sydney Olympic Park on Monday, December 10.

Heighington and Morris will join more than 150 volunteers at Sydney Showground to pack hampers for financially disadvantaged families this Christmas as part of The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal in NSW.

Every Christmas these hampers help ensure Australian children do not miss out on the little joys which make Christmas day special – the sharing of gifts and
food, and the joy of spending time with loved ones.

This Christmas, The Smith Family aims to raise over $5 million for education and learning programs for disadvantaged children across Australia. The Smith Family will also provide over 10,000 food hampers and 25,000 toy and book packs to families in need.

In NSW alone, over 1000 volunteers will help deliver and pack over 4500 food
hampers for disadvantaged families, with many going to families in regional and
rural areas which have been affected by the drought.

John Morris said he was more than happy to support The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal.

“The Smith Family do a fantastic job in trying to make the lives of those less fortunate a little more special,’’ Morris said.

“Rugby league players do enjoy a good life. Wests Tigers do plenty of great work in the community through our Stars With Stripes program and when the club asked Chris and I to be involved in this event, we didn’t have to think twice.

“Packing the hampers will give us a different insight into what The Smith Family do for people at Christmas time. I’m looking forward to it.’’

All funding from the Christmas Appeal goes straight into education
and learning programs designed to equip children with the knowledge and skills
to get the most out of their education and realise their potential.

Can we donate John Morris to some bogans who thought they could afford kids but couldn't and consequently expect the rest of the world to dip into their kick to support them ?

As for John Morris packing hampers, I wonder if the mug would pass the hamper down the line or just hold it til easter

I just recently learnt that Morris' wife is my sisters school teacher.

Any words you'd like me to pass on Mulli? :)

Could the teacher please teach the spastic how to pass when there is a 7 man overlap
I haven't seen a serial overlap murderer since the great MAt Parish wore the 7 jersey at Leichhardt in Junior Pearce's farewell game

Who's writing your material mithy? Tell them it's time to come up with something new.

There are indeed some occasions where accepting a little help could benefit us all...

if only we got premiership points for hospital visits and charity work, we'd never miss the finals.

Tom SHines is lobbying the NRL on this very point
Similar to FIFA's fair play award ... it will be a top 7 plus 1 spot reserved for a team who were sh*t, but well behaved. It would make up for what a myth of a coach Shinesy really is

John's special message for you, maninthehole...

WESTS TIGERS GET PACKING FOR THE SMITH FAMILY

Wests Tigers rugby league players Chris Heighington and John Morris got a feel on Monday, December 10, for the tremendous work The Smith Family do in helping disadvantaged families at Christmas.

Heighington and Morris volunteered their time to help pack hampers at Sydney Showground as part of The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal in NSW.

Wests Tigers was the only NRL club in Sydney to support The Smith Family as part of its Stars With Stripes community program.

The hampers, comprising foods and toys, help ensure Australian children do not miss out on the little joys which make Christmas day special – the sharing of gifts and food, and the joy of spending time with loved ones.

This Christmas, The Smith Family will provide over 10,000 food hampers and 25,000 toy and book packs to families in need.

“It was a real eye opener to see just how much work goes into packing the Christmas hampers,’’ Morris said.

“Chris and I were happy to work alongside the many volunteers who gave their time to support The Smith Family.

“I encourage everyone, especially Wests Tigers supporters, to make a donation to The Smith Family and help those less fortunate.’’

Funding from the Christmas Appeal goes straight into education and learning programs designed to equip children with the knowledge and skills to get the most out of their education and realise their potential.

I don't give to the Smith Family. I could think of better things to do with my money than to donate it to Souths supporters.

I prefer to donate money into a Mulli Family holiday fund that lets me jet off overseas every coupla months Johnny rather than feed some boge who had a sprog or 10 they couldn't afford and whom expect the world should pay for. That is my preference. Just as it is Johnny the spastic's preference to feed soufs fans and never pass the ball.
