Many other clubs had to actually take difficult steps in order to ensure their ongoing existence within the premier competition whereas Souffs did nothing and merely said, "We are Souffs and we are entitled because we are Souffs". Not only that, but it was PROVEN that they were not good enough to survive in the NRL and would be in the same bracket as Newtown if it wasnt for the fairy Godfathers.
I understand Souffs fans being happy that their team still exists, same name and colours, but why should they be
praised for doing nothing when others paid painful prices? Having won the survival lottery based on nothing but the generosity of two millionaires (working class team?), what give their fans the right to mock the fans of teams that actually paid the price to ensure the existence of not only those teams but the competition?
