Just finished binge watching season 2. Too many useless security teams mowed down by hosts but i enjoyed most of it, especially the last 3 eps. I think binge watching it you are able to follow it and take it in better. I am guessing the post credits scene with William in sometime in the future?

Start on S3 hopefully tonight.

The wife and I rewatched season one (terrific) and season two (less so, but with an awesome Japanese episode) before starting on season three. Absolutely loving this season. It feels like an entirely new show, while still being as much fun as the first season.

eh, there's a lot of action and flashy scenery but it's missing so much of what made S1 great. Specifically the presence of Ford and William. Delores story just seems less and less interesting to me, her character has become so one dimensional. I'll keep watching cause i expect there to be some huge twists and reveals but my interest is waning...

Another week, another sequence of human soldiers missing a robot at point blank range with machine guns whilst it one-shots them all with a handgun.

And the world is going to shit because people’s futures were revealed. Why did everyone have a catastrophic future? Surely for most people it would’ve been ‘works as a teacher until they’re 70 and retires’ or ‘attends 500 Chicago Bulls games’ or ‘watches more Internet porn than any other human’. Why was everyone’s future ‘gets addicted to opium and kills themself’. It makes no sense that the vast majority of people’s futures are nightmare fuel. For most people it’d just be boring .

I really don’t know how much longer I’m going to keep going with this show. It requires you to suspend just a bit too much belief for my liking.

So it seems that what you guys are both saying is that I really shouldn't bother getting through the rest of season 2 to watch this mess.

Season 3 is definitely better than Season 2. But that’s no high praise, I think the drop from Season 1 to Season 2 of Westworld is one of the biggest drops in quality I’ve ever seen in TV, including he final season of GoT.

Season 3 finale... eh. This show is starting to give me real Lost vibes. Clearly they want us to think they’ve got a grand plan but it seems like they’re making it up as the go.

Aaron pauls facial expression most of the second half of the season looks like a burning stream of numbers 3s is shooting out of his asshole

This show fell hard.

Season 1: excellent, 2016's best new drama
Season 2: less good but still enjoyable
Season 3: stopped watching after episode 3

I finished season 3 somehow
The show has great ideas but doesn’t have the ability to execute them
It takes itself too seriously, it likes to think it’s cerebral but doesn’t have anything to back it up

The violent delights of season 1 had violent ends in season 2 and 3

Season 4 looks like it might be a completely different show with a Terminator style plot

I didn't even end up watching season 3 but that's no real surprise - the park and Anthony Hopkins made the show for me. In hindsight the show would have served better as an extended 3 - 4 season arc of season 1 and 2 combined with a more conclusive ending, rather than disappear up its own ass. Season 1 still one of my favourite seasons of television, Westworld is GOT levels of disappointment for me.

Season 4 overall and finale thoughts:

They are making this shit up as they go along. What the hell was that season - it ends with the extinction of the human race and we're now all in a computer simulation? It's like Nolan has just gone 'Uhhhh Terminator, and The Matrix, and Battlestar Galactica! It'll be like all of those except with Blackjack and Hookers!'

What an absolute f**king mess.

definatly limping through season 4. Ed harris convincingly not knowing what he is suppose to be because after erading the script he actually doesn't know wtf his character is now

I still never watched 3 or 4. I didn't hate Season 2, it was just already heading in a direction I wasn't interested in.

Not even Jesse Pinkman could save it. It was just that bad at the end.
