On the flip side look at the signings of developing players like Finch, Roberts, orford, cayless etc
I would say, from a safe seat, that the best way to buy is how Sludge does. Stay away from the top end if it is final contract. Pay big money for younger players with 2 or 3 contracts left.
e.g. Pritchard, Monaghan, should have been offered the world.
