'NRL forum', if you wish to set up a forum, then you have start from scratch. Trying to skim research from another website without permission is a fruitless exercise, and a tad unprofessional.

But I can help.

To make your project a success, you have to create discussions, come up with new ideas, and be on the case every day for years. Initially you will be playing to an empty room. But if you're the real deal, enjoy the experience and don't give up easy, then eventually you will notice a slight increase in traffic. Then you'll get a few more members, and some momentum may follow. Then you have to put in more hours, and find the time to keep the site online.

You don't get paid for all this.

I know, it sounds like hard work but that's the way of the world.

On the upside, it does have it's funny moments and you get to meet new people and make friends.

Let's say you're a 5 star General in the army. One of your officers (A lieutenant let's say) comes up to you and says he wants to make his own army that is separate to that of the one he's currently in; one that would rival it and target the same group of soldiers who serve in the current army. He then asks you what advice you have for him. How do you think you'd would react? Would you be "true blue" and say "Yeah mate, go for gold, here are my tips!" :lol:

Mate, we have a website that has everything we want, it is the largest privately owned league website, in the galaxy.
It was created by a huge amount of work and iirc, not one single spam to another site.

My advice (for what its worth) is to follow Willows words of wisdom, dont get discouraged by negative dickheads who tell you to piss off and if you do decide to go ahead, do it in such a way where you get genuine pride and satisfaction in your efforts.

If its any good, we'll hear about it and no doubt pay you a visit...

People are giving it to you because of your lack of common courtesy.

You're using another website as research, and without invitation or the courtesy of a request. You want a leg up and see this forum as your own personal billboard to meet those ends. Doesn't work that way.

Essentially, you really have no interest in contributing to this forum, and are here for your own self interest.

We do help people a lot, but take a dim view of anyone who thinks they can waltz in and start using the forum like this without asking beforehand.

If you take time to read our member's guidelines, you'll see a section regarding advertising without permission. When you joined these forums you became bound by these guidelines - 'guidelines' being just a nice word for rules.

Normally a post like yours would have been deleted on sight, but then you wouldn't have got an excellently detailed reason like this, and probably would have sulked... more than you are now.
