What effect will Clarke have on the game?

Steve Clarke is our ref for Saturday night i believe.
Clarke is renounded for having a terrible 10 metres, usually more like 7 or 8 metres.

Personally i think this is a good thing for us if it means the game is going to be played up the middle in the trenches. And even when the ball gets wide, our backline of Killer, Jnr, Freshy and Kat, are more likely to bust the line with minimal room, than Tonga, Elmasri, Patten or Lolesi.

So i think having Clarke as our ref (as long as he doesnt give a bogus penalty agaisnt us a la v Melb's at parra last year), then this will suit us.

Thoughts?

Clarke is usually a home town ref so every Parra supporter there: Cheer LOUD and he will give us the penalties

That is pretty much the case

My Prediction for Clarke

1. The 10 metres is more like 6-7
2. Bulldogs win the penalty count
3. At least one obvious Eels try is sent to the V.Ref
4. At least one dubious Dogs try isn't sent to the v.ref

now how much of an effect they have on the outcome of the game remains to be seen.

Clarke is soft.
You can guarantee EVERY TRY is sent to the Video Ref...... Doesn't have any balls to call what he see's

It could be worse eg. Simpkins, Hampstead, Archer....
As long as you don't piss Clarke off in the opening 10 mins, he usually gives you a fairly good run but "beware the back-chat!!!!"
