That is correct. I spoke to Nik in Queensland at a State of Origin Face Off Dinner the Tuesday before State of Origin 2...

Spot on. He owns the National Hotel in Toowoomba and he is always in there and on for a chat. Being a Manly player he wasn't on the top of my list but he is a real nice fella.

The fact he came back from knee reconstruction after knee reconstruction is testament to his courage. Injury robbed him of some of his best years.

So if you are up in Toowoomba go and visit and sample the cheap Guiness.

yeah, he would have to be the most unluckiest guy, when it comes to injuries, he only played 5 seasons of first grade in between 93 and and 02, but he was a very talented player, and his tri-nations cap in 99, capped it off

The last game of his career was the Sea Eagles' unceremonious 68-28 thrashing at the hands of Penrith in round 26, 2002 which cost them a finals berth. Kind of summed his career up really.

Scott Pethybridge is still paying down payments on his "I'm sorry I played so sh!t" fund to the Warriors.

Does anyone know where Johnny Carlaw is these days?

Now there was an underrated player - my word he was good to us.

And the doctor, Doctor Death or Robbie Mears?

It was a shame he went out like that. That match was probably a true indication of the talent of that particular side though.

Kosef was fortunate that he was running around at a time where there wasn't much talent in the backrow across the board. Very overrated in my opinion. Had a bit of size, minimal ball skills, little pace, and was lucky that he had some good halves around him at the time.

Minimal ball skills, give me a break

i think people here are remebering Kosef in his later years (2000 onwards) when he was, due to injury, big, immoble and just a shadow of his former self

Peter Blunt using him as a battering ram didn't help his cause.
