Finished FF7 Rebirth on the weekend.

Started before Christmas and rolled credits with 102 hours on the in game clock.

The combat system is pretty good since I didn't get bored with it over such a long time.

I never played the original so wasn't aware how wacky the tone is

This Year?

I got bored of this pretty quick. I loved Origins and then went straight onto Odyssey so maybe needed to switch games up. I didnt like how you could constantly swap from which side you were on and found the world boring compared to Ancient Egypt. Just my thoughts. Later i then went to the viking one which i preferred but didnt love.
I'm playing Odyssey after getting it and all the add ons cheap and have to agree. It's a chore to get through this long repetitive game. Feels like a FF game without the zany JRPG type characters. Once you learn to dodge well the only variant in a battle is how many hits it will take to win depending on how OP your gear is and how many opponents have swarmed you.

KCD2 - woah what a game!
Did you play the first? I haven't played either but its probably my favourite game series to watch. I've seen multiple playthroughs of the first and I'm watching a playthrough of the second.

Jesus Christ be praised, Henry has come to visit us!

I played a little bit of the first but I didn’t get into it in any depth beyond the main story. My brother raved about it so I knew it was a better on PC.

I’ll probably go back and play it again after a few hundred hours on the second.

Currently playing Star Wars Outlaws.

The gameplay loop is maybe 7.5 to 8 out of ten with some jank.

The vibes though are impeccable. Prob the best use of the Star Wars IP since Rogue One.

Story has some cool stuff too.

I've gone balls deep in WWE2k25

Roster this year is amazing.
I only have a couple of minus points for it, first off it looks like they removed the Wolfpac theme (although that could potentially be remedied through a Wolfpac MyFaction pack) and a slight complaint about DLC, having 2 unnamed celebrities and 3 unnamed basketball players. I'd rather those spots be used on actual wrestlers such as Goldberg, Rhyno etc

Now the negative aside, this years addition offers so much. The MyRise (story mode) is fantastic. I've already finished it, and on my second playthrough, selecting different options in the playthrough. It differs the experience quite a bit, and you unlock different things depending on your choices, so a good reason to replay the mode....and it's actually fun.

They fixed up the GM mode from last year, by fixing up the draft pool and also increasing your budget. Instead of struggling to sign say 10 wrestlers, you can comfortable sign 18/19 and still have funds to run shows.

MyFaction seems better as well. Added is a Global Tour mode, where you run through towers across different locations and you earn packs. Most the towers have a persona card as well. Persona cards unlock different versions of wrestlers into the base game.

The Showcase centres about the Bloodline, and is the typical one and done sorta mode. I'm maybe a third of the way through. Once I've finished it, I can't ever see myself playing through it again but there is alot to unlock from it. Haku is in!

I mentioned the negatives about the DLC, but this year has a few surprises! Abyss from TNA is in despite never wrestling in WWE. The performer does work for WWE so that makes sense. New Jack is included! I never thought we'd see him in a game. Most surprisingly is Billy Gunn! Despite being in AEW, he is in. First time in, potentially forever that we have ALL of DX in the same game. We'll also be getting the likes of Motor City Machine Guns, Penta, Sid, Jesse Ventura, Tito Santana, Mark Henry, D-Low Brown.

I've just started playing Elden Ring (never played any of these games before), feeling a little overwhelmed but man so enjoyable and such a beautiful looking game.

Very unforgiving!!

Souls like games have never been my thing but the open world looks incredible, let us know how it goes.

I got Metro Last Light Redux for $3 on switch so giving it a crack, seems pretty good for an 11 year old game so far

I played Metro last year. Its pretty good. What it lacks in some areas it makes up for in immersion.

Ive played the first 2 seasons and liked them. Lots of old school adventure game similarities

Anyone else playing AC Shadows? I’m surprised the amount of hate this game has got coming straight out of the blocks… I think it’s awesome.

I also like using Yasuke… I can see people have been criticising the game because he is not much of an assassin… but I kinda like the difference between him and Naoe.

Yasuke is a f**king BEAST! Clumsy as hell but he just wrecks people… lol

I’ve started the last two AC games and got bored pretty quickly. Preferred Valhalla and got maybe halfway before it felt repetitive. No real desire to play this one, might look at it in a few months when it’s 70% off
