I totally agree with you about Belly, i would've loved him to be a part of it. I don't think there's one Storm fan out there that doesn't understand why he left and many would've also loved him to be there.

orford gave his all to this club and deserves a little more recognition, i assure u if we had cronk at 5/8 this year and ox calling the shots we wouldnt have lost a game all year, the team as a whole was maturing, orford just missed the big finale, but he put this team on the map more than afew times, i know he was one of my favourites, as im sure most of urs aswell, i also keep a spot for noddy, fantastic storm players

I disagree with you mate. Matt Orford leaving has been like a massive pressure release for the team. At times he was trying too hard, and stifling the backline. His ability to go missing in key games was no myth. It did happen and happen repeatedly. Its no coincidence that Hill has had one of his best years with Cronk at half, and that Cam Smith is the dominant hooker in the game.

Dont get me wrong- Orford was a star player and is one of the upper echelon of current halfbacks - but if he was halfback, and Cronk was 5/8 I think we would have another year of 'could have beens'.

Oh yeah, musta been so much more fun watchin the game than actually bein in it :roll:

You just gotta put Bellamy up against Hasler and he will make him a laughing stock.

Nah Mony. Manly will finish between 6th to 8th and bow out in straight sets again. At least for the next few years anyway.

Game's over now, no point getting worked up over it. After talking to the boys on the Monday afternoon when they got back, they've all got the fire in the pit of their guts for next year and that makes me feel better. As they say in the classics, there is always next year.

Remember, we were meant to finish last this year.
