Joseph's done wonders coaching the Lions forward pack but he was another hot head like Troy Flavell without the skills.
There was nothing wrong with Mannix, he was a fine player for Wellington when they were bottom of the table material.

Finishing 6th was our specialty

I saw Jamie Joseph come off the bench for Old Boys university in Wellington when their Premiere team (Loaded with hurricanes/lions players) played Johnsonille. Conrad smith was in the crowd too, and I told him to grow back his mo.

Cullen was an awesome natural talent but he didn't really seem to develop the mental side of his game and really mature. One of the best running fullbacks ever to play the game though.

I saw Cullen play for the Maori in Toronto in 03. Made a few class moves, but seemed to be not going all out, maybe because of their big lead or because he was disappointed to be there instead of in Mitchell's AB squad.

A Canadian rugby coach friend of mine told me at the game he'd been talking to someone high up in the Canadian team, who said it was well-known that Cullen wasn't a very smart person (for lack of a better way to put it), but a natural talent. Which seems to back up SpaceMonkey's comment. I think he also meant off the field. Is that accurate?

Lets just say that he was more than once compared to a beer bottle.

Nothing from the neck up!

Great player though. He was at his best in 96 and 97 at fullback. Jeez, he was good!

Ron Cribb?

Good question, he had a couple of great years and that chip & chase try that won the S12 final for the Crusaders has earned him his moment in history. I think maybe he went to Japan or Europe?

I'm sure Ron Cribb went overseas.

Started out with a hiss and a roar, then went AWOL.
