how about defensive and offensive teams

instead of substituting one player, the whole team is subbed. If you're ahead by 1 with 10 to go, sub the whole defensive team on

I dont mind the tap back. Pretty happy with most rules now, especially that its no longer a lost ball if you pass the ball when held is called. That really used to shit me.

Yep, agree. I sometimes wish they'd extend that practise to cases where the ref if unsure why the ball has come loose after the player is tackled (i.e. give the ref the option to just say 'play the ball')....but I guess it might cause more problems than it solves.

I've been saying for a long time that the football field should contain a number of "it's a knockout" style obstacles.

How funny would it be to see Watmough get floored by an oversized spongy thing?

You'd have to watch the tide charts then. High tide would keep the lions at bay. Low tide however they would run amok.

I reckon the games should be multiball (13 so every player on team kicks off) but at random intervals a ball explodes. This will really test clubs for depth in the new 212 game season

State of origin to be played on a field roughly the size of NSW & Queensland combined with teams equal to the population born in each state (must be born in state to qualify). NSW defending Bega, Queensland defending Cape York. ACT is not in playing field. Otherwise played under normal rules

I reckon there would be a lot of nil all draws.

I think the real issue is with the forums and watching the game. For NRL to improve the game for all, everyone who logs in to a forum or watches a game, live or not, should receive within 15 minutes by courier or hand-maiden your favourite meal, drink and desert, be it KFC, Maccas, Pizza Hut, Thai, Chinese, etc.

Well, do you think these ideas would fit in with your 'no tap-backs' plan, Gazzamatta?
Outstanding contributions from all thanks Ivor. Unsurprising in the extreme. My sense of humour is probably still developing or maybe Im just too old.
Cheers
