WHAT IF

We are going up and down in performance, we havent got the quikest and flow free backline but WHAT IF:

We lose to the rabble called Manly.

We lose the players on rep duty

We get key injuries

We lose two or three on the trot.

What would this forum say about the above. Do people start saying we are the ultimate chokers??????? We all know on this forum that our depth is largely untested due to the short sightedness shown by Mr Mcidiot, I wonder what Mc idiot does if the wheels start falling off. Does he do what he has done in the last few years by not altering our play?????

By the way we are the second most attacking team in the comp. I dont understand how?

Let me explain.

In attack, you attempt to place the ball over the score line. This is referred to as a ‘try’.

If you score a try you get 4 points.

You get the opportunity to ‘convert’ the try by kicking a goal, this gives you a further two points.

You can also try and score 2 points via a goal if the opposition gives away a penalty within the range of your kicker.

If scores are close you can also drop kick the ball over the cross bar, which gives you 1 point.

Points scored each game are aggregated as the season goes on, and the 16 teams can compare total points scored to work out who has the best attack.

We’ve accumulated more points than 14 other teams.

Because of recency bias. In the last four games, we have scored 10, 25, 2, 16 points respectively. Since they are the most recent results you are weighting them too heavily. Previous to those games we were averaging approximately 30 points per game. That's pretty impressive.

I can see why Mary won't play these guys in the NRL team if he doesn't need to play them.
Does anyone else watch ISP Dragons play?
I have, and it doesn't look good. The only player I think could cut in the NRL is Herbert (the FB)
Most of the forwards are too slow, clumsy and the whole team plays disjointed rabble footy.

I would suggest IF the wheels fall off we will go down the same path we did in 2017, which is to make no changes to continually losing sides and hope like hell it all comes good in the end.

SPOILER ALERT:It didn’t come good in 2017.

Hmmmm.

1.) would be a bad loss.

2.) They will find their way back home... ( think GPS ).

3.) Failed at fortune telling.

4.) Would be called a slump.

Next thread ?
Seriously if that does happen , I'm done for the year because the team will be done also ....

Yes buddy, just putting it in some perspective. I am cautious like you are, but too many "IFS" for me.
Same could apply to many clubs, but its the failures of past years that tend to haunt us. Lets see how this pans out.
Tru its is the past that is the problem for sure . Just need to get back on track and just maybe we will all believe , the fans the players the coaching staff ....

What if instead of managing injuries but resting players and potentially sacrificing one week we manage niggling injuries to key players by interchanging them on/off three times in a game limiting the impact of the remainder of our bench …

That wouldn't happen would it?

Remember Glen Campbell and his song the gambler? “ know when to roll know when to fold” well IMO that’s where we are. In the next 4 weeks either McGregor wins with his roll to keep flogging players with niggles and just plain worn out or he should have folded and taken a different route. If we beat Manly then Parra he wins.

It is now round 15 , the magic number that quite a few of us said - wait and see where we are then ? Well here we are , equal 2nd with a game that is looking good as a win and should that occur and the rorters beat the Panthers the Dragons will be flying solo in first place .

Sure there are the usual signs of fatigue starting to show and as said already the SOO hangover that is bound to have some effect , however all in all the side has been travelling o.k . Still the ' if's ' are hovering very close and I am now going to put my time-frame of 15 weeks to 18 weeks , as then we shall really understand if injuries from the origin will play a factor and perhaps more so if the ' fatigue ' factor is manageable or not .

Listen, to all those saying what a negative bunch Dragons fans are.
1/ we've been hurt before.
2/ 2017........never forget.
3/ 2011........never forget.
4/ it's an Internet forum, I only come here to gripe and complain.
5/ if I wanted fluffy bunnies and hugs I'd go to fuffybunniesandhugs.com
6/ when the Dragons are winning it upsets my finely balanced view of the universe.
7/ I'm still getting over 2010 and have to watch the DVD everyday to assure myself it wasn't a dream.
8/ when the Dragons are winning I tend to believe the reptile people have taken over the world and the world will end the day before the Grand Final.

Just some perspective.

I can tell you 100% what will happen: people will bag Mary.

In fact, the dragons are 1st at the moment and people are still bagging Mary.

Wow. Think about that. Most people thought we'd be outside the top 8...that we may scrape into the top 8 at the end of the year. Well, at the moment we're perched on top and people are are not happy haha

Come finals, all these season games mean ZERO.
