What is Australia missing ?

IYO (In Your Opinion) what was Australia missing for this match ?

1. Firstly, I think Australia was missing that agressive type of forward like Webke who usually takes the first huge hit up and gets them pumped up for the match, Price and Civo are more worker type of props. They need a forward who have that bit of mongrel in them:

. Mason - Now injured
. O'Meley - Good Choice
. Newton - Could go good
. Clinton - Has played before and gets the team pumped with huge hitups.

So there it is, I think the first thing that needs looking at is the forward pack... The only one that went well is O'Donnell who I was critical of, but it shows, he was the only one going into the match with form and it did show.

Very simple. They were missing players in form.

More than half the squad has been playing like crap for months.

We're missing the one rock solid performer we have been able to rely on for years.

Webcke.

I was thinking about the man during the 2nd half. Man we could use him now...

For mine

Our unforced handling errors were quite poor for an Aussie side, and a couple of bad reads in defence when kiwis skipped to 18-0, were the main issues for mine.

Lets not forget at the end iof the day, there is only one main trophy up for grabs, getting to the final is the number one priority, long way to go.

O'Meley will most likely play next week in place of Ryles(fekking cat)

Put Barrett at 5/8th, Lockyer Fullback, muppet show at winger.

Thats the changes ill make.

aka. Nathan Hindmarsh. He'd have made all the tackles Fitzgibbon did, only he'd be there in attack aswell. Simpson would have made a difference too.

Australia missed Hindy most though. How do you feel now Hugh Hackard?

I was thinking Hindmarsh, he is one inform forward before the injury, also Simpson could have filled in at Centre, and Bailey would have made a bit of a difference.

DESIRE! They played this game like a pack of holiday makers and had no intensity whatsoever! Whereas for the kiwi's this was bigger than SOO!

O'Meley looked like rubbish today, defence was poor and didn't assert himself at all running the ball, IMO got outplayed by both the NZ front rowers and Scott Bolton.

I think it's a bit unfair to say that Australia lacked heart, cos some did play with a lot of gusto:

Brent Tate
Luke O'Donnell
Anthony Minichiello
Ben Kennedy

I believe that the match was lost as soon as Tahu left the field, and Waterhouse slotted into centre.
