Webcke and Hindmarsh would've added a hell of a lot. A better bench I think, Barrett should've been there.

I think it's a bit unfair to say that Australia lacked heart, cos some did play with a lot of gusto:

Brent Tate
Luke O'Donnell
Anthony Minichiello
Ben Kennedy

I believe that the match was lost as soon as Tahu left the field, and Waterhouse slotted into centre.
No offence but Ben Kennedy served up absolute rubbish tonight

a decent coach

nail on the head....

some of those players out there should not have been there to start with. others should be there, but playing in there own positions, not out of position like tonight. the sooner he steps aside the better. he is rubbish.

in saying that. the kiwis were the better team in a pretty scrappy match, and good on them. toopi quietened some critics, and good on him.

also, as much as i hate tate. he also deserves credit, he played very well.

lockyer was rubbish. so was ryan.

gower, heaps better than i expected.

Bloody hell, what a bunch of whiners! The Kiwis played very well and deserved the win. Ganson was absolutely sh*te and helped AUstralia get back into the match.

Australia don't need to change too much for game two. They've lost matches before, it's sport, it happens.

Australia was missing there hands. They dropped so many balls that they were lucky to only lose by 10 points.

Lockyer has had one of his worst seasons IMO. He has been extremely ineffective and it's showing up in every team he plays in.

1. Cohesion : Would think it was the first time any of these blokes had met each other at times. eg. First half, very early. Johns puts BK away, who always offloads to his left, Mini runs to his right, the ball that would have ensured 4-0, probably 6-0 goes loose.

2. Ball handling : I didn't realise they were playing with a bar of soap.

3. Ball discipline: Seeing how much dropped ball there was, why would the forwards keep on trying to throw offloads to players in worse positions?

4. A decent game plan: Was probably one there, but appeared to be lacking at times.

5. Some respect for an undermanned, but very decent NZ side

DESIRE! They played this game like a pack of holiday makers and had no intensity whatsoever! Whereas for the kiwi's this was bigger than SOO!

Agreed.

And don't you guys start bringing that Mason back aye!
Talk about a guy who goes up a gog or three whenever he plays us!!

His handling was bad, but he ran the ball hard, and at good angles. Just a one-off poor game from BK, he'll be back.

i'm aware that he has played for australia, however since representing lebanon in previous test matches he hasn't even been considered for the kangaroos side.
