where has cashmere been watch the cowboys a few times and he was no where to be seen, his form a couple of seasons back was good if he played to that levell he would be a good buy

He's a great player, always gives a good showing. We granted him a release at the end of last season provided we could find another forward of similar quality as a replacement.

Instead we got stuck with Manase Manuokafoa. Fringe first grader at best.

Cashmere's a keeper if you can get him. I actually wouldn't mind the Cowboys having another look at him, but I doubt we have enough room under the cap to sign him.

Lord knows if Ryles got a phone call, from what I hear Cayless wants back from ESL- maybe he'd be worth a call? Not much left in the bargain basement section now..............

2010's international / SOO standard signing is looking bleaker and bleaker.
I really hope it is not Taquiri for 1/2 a season only. Looks like ESL may be our only other hope. It just goes to show how much of a joke WT management has become.
This worries me as Cayless is exactly the type of bog average, fringe firstgrader we would sign. And usually on a stupidly backloaded contract as well.

Jason Cayless? Bog average, fringe firstgrader? Can't agree on that one - he's a premiership winning, former international prop. Not sure what his form has been like over in the ESL but he'd be a good addition to our squad, for the right price, if he's at the same standard he was a few years ago.

Did you mean Cashmere?

I meant now he is average.
He was good years ago at the Roosters but he's a bit past it now though, isn't he?

How old is he? 30+?

Now fellers, do none among us remember Ryan O'Hara???

As far as I'm concerned, unless we are buying current pedigree, our recruitment team should steer the hell away from props and just work on bringing our fresh meat up to grade.

I shall elaborate...

The style of play at WT is apparently not one that's easy to teach an old pig. It is usually years before we get any good value out of someone.

Buy someone in their prime, or develop our own. Simple enough?

Yeah i had a huge wrap on him also.....well not huge but he was decent enough for a regular first grade gig in our squad....

I read something about Tandy having issues with women and alcohol, someone at the club reported him when it came time to contract renewal. Obviously the Storm dont care, he probably parties with Inglis.

Aaron Woods - hes ready
Andrew Fifta - hecan play 20 of the bench imo
Liam Roach - had a tase of state cup this year and will be better for it
Alan Shirnack - will be better this season
Luke Mcinnes - dont really know much about him ?
Michael Stolk - should be ready

now surley one of these props should be ready by next year

Matt Davidson - i like the look of him, big unit who uses his size well. if he hadnt had health problems would have probably played first grade ahead of schirnak and gower
Aaron Woods - best front row prospect we've ever had. can play nyc for 2 more years and i believe signed for another 3. dont rush him, maybe 3 or 4 games off the bench next year
Andrew Fifta - absolutely dominates nyce and has skill for a big man. i get the feeling he will take a while to adjust playing against people his own size as he wont be able to physically dominate them like he does against 18/19 year olds. play state cup next year and see hoe he goes. i have my doubts about his first grade prospects...
Liam Roach - if his last name wasnt roach he wouldnt be playing any level above park footy
Alan Shirnack - worker style prop, will never be a stand out but was happy with his game, good footwork before the line
Luke Mcinnes - havnt seen any of him
Michael Stolk- havnt seen enough to comment

How long has it taken Gibbs to even resemble a nrl fgrader prop. Dont expect miracles from the younger brigade. As for Ryan Tandy, was the standout frontrower in the state league when with us. We could have had him at the right price but no we show him the door, not rated by the great man. Okay he might not have turned out to be a Galloway but he offered plenty.
