What Now?

So here we are again. Same squad that’s fallen short two seasons in a row going around again next year. A few decisions need to be made, otherwise we most likely go backwards.

What happens?

Nothing major but need a player with spark. Lots of emotion talking tonight. Comes with disappointment. Fact is we are a strong team but have no class or genuine speed. I’d like to see Ison get a shot. But we will see.

Just my opinion here but your football from the first 2 weeks of the finals beats Melbourne tonight, they were right there for the taking.
Gotta say, the longer the game went on the more I thought that even if we did jag it we'd be cannon fodder for you blokes next week.

I think Ramien also needs to go. Have you ever seen a player go from a million tackle breaks one year to zero the next? Maybe Russell Richardson. Stick Hiroti there or make Briton a centre given the improvement of Burns. He has the pace.

Agree that Kennedy is not the right fullback to take us all the way, although, he had a decent game tonight, as he did most weeks, but your fullback needs to be more than mostly decent, it’s too important. I’d give Ison a go, or even Hiroti. Can’t go around the same again.

Nico was poor despite a couple of good moments, but we are stuck with him.

Last comment would be that we need to quietly move McInnes on. He can be our new Berrell or something maybe. Jesse C, Sifa and even Hohepa have all provided more I think. Nothing against his effort or commitment, but his toughness no longer makes up for his size.

Anyway, I’m rambling now. A good season, but also all feels a bit same same, and I’d rather see some different different.
