What podcasts do people like listening to? I personally prefer ones about a factual topics than say comedies.

My favourites are:

The infinite monkey cage, Brian Cox is kind of my man crush.
Star talk with Neil Degrasse Tyson
and although I'm not a fan of his I have found 6 tackles with Gus to be the best NRL offering.

The Joe Rogan Experience.

Have been listening to that since about 2010.... im always amazed when I see how much it's blown up.

I used to listen to every single episode but due to a lack of time these days I tend to pick and choose which episodes I watch.

It's a brilliant time killer though... the guests he's had have been amazing... and he's really stretched the spectrum from sports to comedy to politics to science and ofcourse conspiracy theorists.

i remember having multiple 7 hour drives made to feel like absolutely nothing because I was listening to the Lance Armstrong episode or the Neil Degrasse Tyson one or Guy Ritchie...

I had a similar experience once, I flew back from Sydney to Heathrow (which is already hellish) and then had to drive direct Glasgow. I luckily had a load of the Ricky Gervais show on my phone, it almost made that 9 hour drive a pleasure.

Joe Rogan really does have a way of making just about anything sound interesting.

I am a fan of the Tim Ferriss podcast as well.

I've been listening to multiple podcasts per day for over 6 years but starting to get into Audible now for stuff with a little more substance.

The Simpsons Show - weekly podcast which reviews an episode, in chronological order. Currently up to season 8.

Used to listen to The Bugle but don't really now given that John Oliver is not on it anymore.

Most of the podcasts I listen to are either are either radio shows (Fire Up, The Sporting Probe, Triple M Rush Hour and Radio Chaser) or reviews of TV shows - Monkey Tennis (Alan Partridge) and I've Made A Huge Mistake (Arrested Development) are great.

Want to branch out a bit into more general topic stuff... looked up Joe Rogan, I'll give it a go.

How did this get made? - comedians review bad movies. Pure awesome.

James Bonding - two James Bond superfans dissect each film, usually with a celebrity guest. Very funny.

Cracked - pop culture and history.

This American Life - general interest and current affairs.

Conversations - Richard Fidler (of DAAS fame) is one of the best interviewers around. He's had people ranging from Tony Blair down to school crossing guards on his show and each interview is as interesting as the next.

This. So good. And now I notice June in a few movies (already knew of Paul and Jason from The League)

Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, Gus Gould, Science Fantastic with Michio Kaku, Neil Degrasse Tyson, though apparently he is a bit of a twat in person.

Case File: True Crime

Is great if you're into true crime, by far the best one I've come across in that category. Done by an Aussie so plenty of cases you know about

Thanks, very fascinating cases. The Jaycee Dugard case just horrifies me. Her book was a tough read.

Bill Burr's monday morning podcast can be funny - it was great hearing his enthusiasm for F1 while learning the ropes about it last season.

Now it’s not for everyone but there’s a great documentary about the Apollo program called 13 minutes to the moon. I think it’s about 10 episodes in total with 4 out currently.
Plenty of interviews with engineers, pilots etc from the program.
