What should I do for my 21st?

I'm starting preliminary planning for my 21st. My birthday is mid October, but i'm looking at having my actual 21st later in the month. I've got a few questions for which I'd love to hear some opinions on.

Bearing in mind that i'm looking at inviting around 50 (few family friends/members included) wat's a good venue? This is the big one which I can't decide. Can't have it in my home, it's just a party house. It's got to be somewhere in the city, purely because it's central. Probably looking for more of a pub type atmosphere rather than a bar. And what's roughly a good amount to throw behind the bar? Most of my mates have had theirs at home so they're no help.

And last of all, thoughts on a theme? I wouldn't mind having a theme where people can wear normal clobber and just throw something extra on. For example a mate had 'a splash of pink' which saw some people were some pretty random sh*t.

Anyway any random thoughts people have would be great.

Just thought I'd throw in the fact that I'm 21 in exactly a week.

I'm no help though I'm having a house party.

Your invited yo Kate.

kick off with some paintball, crank a BBQ for lunch, then hit some night spots, strip club etc, then come home with a good sort

you could also invite your mates if you really want

Hmmm, a plethora of answers, not many of them helpful.

More wanting to work out what a good joint to have it is at. Strip club sounds ok I spose, though my chick mates won't be too keen.

Thanks for the efforts lads.

One of my mates had a 21st last weekend. We spent it at hOOters in Parra before going to the city till 5 in the morning. The bday boy was a bit of a turd in that everybody else seemed to get smashed except him...

So, get smashed. Who cares what happens or where it's at...

Amount on the bar.... Well for 50 guests your looking at atleast a $1000 minimum. - And even thats only 4-5 drinks per person in the city, but that will balance out as some will have more, others less.
