Just logged onto on official Eels site and well its kinda GOONNNEE...with the exception of a little weird message...could everyone else try logging on and see if maybe my computer is playing tricks on me!

At first I couldn't get in, but now I get the Hello World thing too...

Haha...yeah yesterday i tried to log on to check my competition results and couldnt get on...today its just gone even weirder ... 'Hello World' ?? Maybe Brian Smith is coming out of the closet....

it has been down for two days and i knew about it yesterday

maybe John Laws has taken them over too - could be worse i suppose, we could keep DF and BS???

ahh no not quite.....

i get the point Colonel, but at least there was some time between my posts, it was an actual update on what the site was doing over a period of time and the last post was simply something i forgot to say

anyway and don't give me that rap :?

i take it there are no programmers in here... "Hello World" is a commonly used test string in programming.

Note to non-techies: a string is a sequence of characters like a word or a sentence

Yep, "Hello World" is a very often used test sequence among techies when running code for the first time or whilst test/debugging systems.

The fact you are seeing that indicates someone is looking at it – alternatively the alien theory has some merit !

I thought "Hello World" was to TEACH beginners when learning to program.

Experienced Programmers would probably use "Smith is a ????" or Parra rules or sthing

they've probably got the textbook open right now.

maybe "we're working on it, so get the @#!$ off our backs" would be appropriate
