What to do with Jessie Ramien

Ramien is at the moment one of just 5 players contracted to the sharks beyond 22.

He had a great 2018 for us, then a shit 2019 with the Knights which resulted in him being sacked.

I thought he was solid in 2020 but not great.

Game 1 this year he gets suspended and last night he was again average.

He's a big strong tacklebreaker but doesn't really run any great lines and doesn't have the speed or elusiveness to often beat his opponent.

Is the problem our game plan and we're not using him correctly or is he perhaps just not as good as we thought he was?

Hard to judge on just 2 games, but in 2021 I would say Tracy and Duges have been better centres than him.

Thoughts?

He has been disappointing since he left. As Inferno says, at his best he is a tackle breaking, power runner. He generally needs early ball to wind up.

I suspect for him it is a mentality issue. He seems to lose focus. A bit like Joey Leiliua.

Ramien will never be better than dugan. We got ramien and lost Morris who was on half the money then moved Dugan to the left. I still believe dugan on the right Is in the top 3 centres in that position. On the left he isn't as effective

Interesting the Shark's are talking to Will Chambers former Storm centre.Know he is 32 ,but he is experienced ,fast and a niggler and can score tries and his defence would be better than some of the turnstile stuff our backline dishes up at times.
We are skinny in the slack backs.
