What would happen if a player got an AVO on another player?

Genuine question

With Sam Burgess allegedly threatening to assault young Rooster Billy Smith what would happen if Smith went to the police and got an AVO on Sam?

I can only assume if Sam was still playing he wouldn’t be allowed to play/or attend games Smith was involved in?

Wonder if something like this has ever happened in a professional league?

It would depend on the conditions of the AVO, but if it stated that he couldn't go within a certain distance of him, then yeah, they wouldn't be able to play.

I guess they just skip the games against them.

I hear Pearce is right now taking out an AVO on Reynolds. Should be in place by 3pm tomorrow.

AVOs have a list of standard conditions, with the court deciding which ones are added to the AVO.

It would have to be a very strong argument from the prosecution to add the no contact condition when the PINOP could come into incidental contact with the accused at their place of employment.
