Yapy, the PL side certainly needs more depth. Who do you think will be called up from this years Flegg to strengthen the ranks. I have not noticed any new signings posted on the Wests website for the 2005 season. Any insights?

Yeah buts thats because Balmain want to save money, its not because of the playing roster over at Wests ;-)

In saying that Wests don't really have a bad playing roster - they do have some great talented juniors coming through its just that they also have some very crap ones to match

This season is over for both PL and JF so maybe playing for contracts for next year might see things turn around (of course after they play Balmain that is )

Nothing will be announced until after the season ends. The call up of Chris Young and Aaron Sweeney last Friday are definite pointers though I'd say. Other than that I can only speculate (and probably get it wrong). Sweeney has really impressed since his return. Two years ago I though he's too small to make it as a Prop, but now he's fricn huuuuggee! Must be about 6'2" and told me he's at 113kg but wanted to get back to about 110. McMahon will obviously become a permenant call up, and I'd reckon Hampson, Pritchard, Waters, Borg, Roberts, and Parkyns are in the frame.

One other big factor in the recent floggings is Covell. Plenty here bag the guy, but you don't know your backside from a hole in the ground. He adds so much to our side.

Man, if your side is so shit that an average first grade WINGER is the inspiration your side lacks, then the magpies are going to get slaughtered on friday. I can't wait for this one.

Thanks Yappy, have been following the younger grades for sometime now. I have noticed a lot of chat about Brinky on the Wests site. Also Soper, Any chance for these two next year. They appear to play well. I would think at this level it may be hard to first a first division side if you are unwanted. at your current club.

Yeah Brinky has his fans, but they don't seem to be on the coaching staff. I don't what the go with Soper is he's been unseen for months, It's Scissors Szczerbanik that gets a few supporters to his cause. He's been injured for so long we just haven't seen what he's got, but he seems determined to prove himself - if not to Wests then to another club.

The boys will be holding 2 full-on training session this week and 1 mid week session (1 extra than a normal week ;-)) so its clear Sheppo is trying to get the boys in a good frame ready for the Roosters and Panthers clash during the last 2 weeks ;-)
