I'm also a full-time Uni student in Sydney but originally from Queensland. I also do some Personal Training on some week nights which helps with the daily living expenses.

for the past couple of months i've entered the ranks as a carpet layer,i'm still learning the ropes though and work with another layer for at least another three months before branching out on my own,on wednesdays i work at the carpet auctions where i pick up plenty of laying jobs which is very rewarding financially,i hate the day itself though but the perks outweigh the idiots i have to work with.(photo finish though)

i've always been self employed as i'm a free soul and hate putting up with the crap of bosses and and politics of the work place, for 6-8 years my wife andiowned a childrens party plan clothing business which operated out of melb and brisbane,we elected to sell up when the gst came in for obvious reasons

my wife works part time in the photographic industry, she is probably the best undiscovered photographer i have seen.

i studied film at college and did it for a few years but discovered it does'nt pay the billsplus every client was a budding steven speilberg or had a grandson/daugter who had to appear in the commercial/doc,enough was enough,i've been out of it to long topossibly onedayreturn, the technology is always changing and being a dad with 3 daughters they would'nt understand if igrew a pony tail, i would'nt mindthe harley though!!!!!

I'm seriously a P.I eels fan...
I completed my training and certification in Sydney shortly beforeI left for Queensland, and have now been practising up here for a couple of years. It has many good aspects about it, as well as bad. By all means send me an email and I'll gladly help where I can. I'll check my mailbox within the next few day.

Business process and systemre-engineeringdevelopment manager.

Basically I work in "software development and sales".

I am also an avid skateboard rider, and Tolkien and Beowulf philology authority. I like lettuce in my sandwiches and I like to ride cows. I wishI was an auto electrician with a couple of big contracts - but then I'd have to be sober all the time after-hours. Everybody I know says that I drink really good wine too.

I am loathe to say too much more as we have some police and PI types among us, and if I say anymore I may as well give you my phone number!!

Alas Pepe the great,

Yes I am. Its a beautiful big town really. I think that the place is only coming to grips with smaller big city issues. The weather and environs are certainly beautiful.

It is the kind of place which allows for a healthy think tank and thought developments processes............................thats probably why there are so many insolved violent crimes down here. People have too much time on their hands. Just think how much trouble the people in Sydney could get up to if they werent stuck in traffic all the time!LOL

And BTW, dont trust MFC. He is the original troublemaker, and he is younger brother of "skull"!! tee hee

Anyway. Gotta go. I'm hunting Wabbits!

Thunkyou Mr Canadian Steve:
my line of wurk is simple - and I have it in my resumay - ofda the wurk i do this is the best deskription:
i am Johnny Rico of the rough necks. my destiny is a galactic war of unlimited violence and destruction. me and my fellow troopers scour the emptiness of space to hunt down our enemies - BUGS - the bugs want to destroy all of us but the rough necks always win - and we NEVER leave a roughneck behind - it is a long fight but there are no flies on us!
Death to bugs and death to the breeders of bugs.

Maths teacher in a UK, all-boys, comprehensive school (state school). ages 11-18.

Also, teach a bit of PE and have taught economics and business studies.

Initially, I worked in the school as a support assistant - specialising in working with emotionally and behaviourally disturbed children (EBD). Very interesting! I miss it actually, it's just that maths teachers are in such short supply here that I haven't been able to do any specialised "special needs" work for several years.

I came very, very, close to becoming a policeman - but "saw the light" during my selection/interview weekend and worked in education instead.

What gives here? Where are all the stereotypical, anti-social, unemployed, layabout bums that I commonly hear about in cyberspatial dispatches???

I don't think I've ever encountered such a diverse occupational range in such as small sample grouping!

For the record, I'm a former fulltime uni student, former taxi driver, former factory worker, former clerk, former storeperson, former mail worker, former sales person; who is currently biding time as a sessional lecturer/youth activity services program coordinator until (hopefully) a government department sees fit to give me a place on its 2003 Graduate Program.
