On a partially-related rugby league subject does anybody know when Wembley will be finished. I read somewhere the other day that once it is completed that The Darkness will be the first band to play live in a very long time which would be awesome!

I wasn't all that fond of Wembley to be honest. The Millenium Stadium is much better. That's got to be one of the best stadiums in the world. Beautiful, great facilities, close to the pitch and a very good atmopshere.

The Millenium Stadium is a fantastic stadium. Brilliant atmosphere aswell.

When i went to wembley in 98 4 the Challenge Cup final i have to admit i was dissapointed. Everyone always says what a fantastic ground it was but to me it was nowte special.

maybe i was p****d off because because we lost to a team that were 6 places below us in the league and it was my first time going to see a final.
Never mind........We still won the GF at the end of the year. :D :D 8)

i think the new wembley will be fantastic though. I think its 2006 when its ready.

The old Wembley was the second worst ground I have ever watched RL on. There may have been a great atmosphere generated by the fans but you were so far away from the action you needed a telescope. The only ground I dislike even more is Elland Road.

Any particular reason why?

After being a season ticket holder at Elland Road for 20 odd years and I've also seen many RL matches there I can't see why you would dislike it. You have a great view from the majority of seats in the stadium and when full it has a terrific atmosphere. Unless the Aussies are giving GB a good beating like in the 97' SL test match.

Wembley WILL be up there again as one of the best Stadiums in the World. There is no doubt about that. I will make sure that I have got my Challenge Cup final ticket for the first one!

You never know Warrington might be there.

Also isn't the new Wembly being built by the same company that built Telstra Stadium (Sydney Olympic Stadium)
