When we go

No other team except Melbourne can go with us. We have so much talent in this squad anything less then a top 4 finish is a drastic under achievement. How we won that game (and won by 13) i will never know. Canberra should have beaten us by 20.

HOWEVER we can't expect to dish up 40 minutes of rubbish and win. We had a lot go our way today. It wouldnt surprise me at all if the cowboys put 40 on us next week. even though we won i hope we remember there was a reason we were down 22-4 after 39 minutes.

This game was similar to the manly game, and we all saw what happened the week after that.

The Cows are pretty sh*t. Gallant is a HUGE in for them. Williams is incredibly bad. Take their forwards down, which shouldn't be hard, and we'll do em easily.

Congrats on the win guys - great footy to watch. And I agree, you've finally put together a side that's dripping with talent across the park. Moltzen needs to stay 7. He wasn't spectacular today, but he did everything he needed to.

Westie I can't agree with that statement. It was true in 2008, but our forwards have been awesome in 2009 and 2010.

Matt Scott and Luke O'Donnell are current Origin players, and Scott Bolton will play for the Maroons this year, he's been good in every game he's played. Rapira and Tamou will play for NZ in the future. And Mason looks like he's concerned about his footy and not his next boozy night out.

Kaufusi and Webb are both utter rubbish, and as long as they aren't picked we've got a great forward pack.

Oh...and Gallant has a LOT to play for next week, he'll fire up bigtime.

Man how bad did we look in that first half, I was watching it and thought they looked just like they did through their slump last year and actually through the past few years. No line speed in defence, managing to get 2 metres each hit up bringing the ball out from our own line after an opposition kick and not wrapping the ball up and stopping the offloads.

The difference though was that you could see in that second half that the newly found mental toughness came out and all of a sudden our line speed came back, we started to move out of our own half and boy their were some nice hits from the pigs.

However if we put an effort like that up against the Storm or Dragons in the first half they wont give us the opportunity to get back into the game and it will be all over, we were lucky that we dished that up against a team that while they can attack are a lot like us in the way that they lose their way.

A win is a win but starts like that can't be given to the good teams!!

For the first time in a while, your team looks like it could actually threaten the big teams seriously.

I don't like the Cows at all. Awesome spine if you do this

1. Gallant
6. Bowen
7. Thurston
9. Payne

It's up there with the best.

Problem is... Bowen is always injured. Payne doesn't play 80. And Henry has shown a strange inclination to choose Williams over Gallant.

You've got some good big boys. O'Donnell and Mason. But the rest are usually fairly rubbish. You play like a 20s team - just like Brisbane. And pretty much can't win away from home. I might be wrong, but I think over the course of the season you'll be pretty poor. Doesn't mean you won't win the odd game by a big margin - but I can't see you making the 8.

TBH Kaufusi is our only real weak forward......... oh and so is Carl Webb but hopefully he won't be anywhere near this game.
Tamou and Rapira are coming along nicely and Scott, LOD and Bolton are Origin material. I just hope the refs let the teams play on Saturday night, no controversial calls to either side and the better team wins. I just want to see a good game.

I do discount them. Hopefully they don't prove me wrong.

Matt Scott is run of the mill, Bryce Gibbs is a much better footballer, but Scott Bolton is a good hard ball runner on the left hand side for them and being a big man he is hard to bring down. He will play SOO for Queensland this year and is a player we`ll need to watch closely. The big danger man apart from Thurston and Willie Tonga is Shannon Gallant, why he isn`t on our side i`ll never know, but that`s another story.
