oh yeah when is rieck coming back
i think we need him back because we get some breaks but we are not fast enough to score some times EG nutlys line break tonight we needed rieck then for nutley to pass to.
oh yeah do you think he is automatic selection on his return or will he have to earn his way back.
Please honest opinion and not what you think. What you think the coach will do.

Reick would have to be in before Merritt, who makes too many mistakes and looks flimsy at this stage. I still think Merritt will come good, but Reick is better at the moment.

Merritt only had one major f**k up and that was when he was getting set to chase a Peachey kick and the hooker passed him the ball and he wasn't ready for it. I know they say you should always be ready but Peach had just told him to get set for a kick so the last thing he expected was a pass from hooker

I remember one on the western sideline where he dropped it cold when he looked like he would have scored if he caught it. And also when we made a big break on the eastern side, and from the play the ball the dummy-half (McGoldrick I think) threw him an average pass, and he knocked it on in a good position.

Yeah the first one was a stuff up but wasn't a biggie. At that stage all the boys were having trouble holding it. The Mcgoldrick pass wasn't bad it just went to the wrong guy like I said in my post above 8)

Although I like Merrit and he did score a try Riek is the better man currentyl and certainly Simmons is on FIRE so he shouldnt be dropped. Merrit has good catching, good tackling and a good attacking ability but recently his hands letting him down. I think Rieks back next match.

Rieck will be in PL when he returns. No point in bringing up a average player after an injury. Rieck looked the goods against the dogs then went missing again. But his 2004 form has been worlds ahead of his 2003 form.

How good did Simmons play tonight? Pulled off some great tackles aswell :shock:

I remember people a coupla weeks back suggesting he should be dropped, and ever since that period he has played blinders. His attack is great and recently (ie Manly and Souths) his defence and catching is top notch as well. He is certainly a player of the future.

Rieck will come back into the squad but I am not sure who for. I am thinking that Simmo will go back to playing fullback for PL because he isn't in our top squad and his match payments eat away at our salary cap. I dunno if that would be right but I think it is what will happen.

Merritt dropped 2 crucial balls with no pressure at all on him. One was when he was out on the right hand wing in clear space, the other when he got the ball one out on the 15 metre line on the first tackle after a penalty, and he drops it. Reick back asap.

Reick was with McGoldrick on the left earlier on in the season, so I would pressume that would occur again, thus putting Simmo on the right with Vagana's protection in defence.
