Phil Gould is biased toward the Roosters --- to the point he shouldn't be allowed to comment at our matches?
Now, I understand he has a bias to us --- that, I don't deny --- but I have always maintained that Gus goes too hard at trying to avoid it by favouring our opposition. I recently watched four games (from 2002-2013) of ours & this notion was very strongly backed up. Every time a call was in question, Gus would seem to lean against us in 3/4 of them. It'd be interesting to have done a count on the amount of calls he favoured us on. It would be quite overwhelmingly out-numbered by the instances where he favoured our rivals IMO.
Is it just an auto-switch response, one of those things people say without ever really putting any thought into?
