Where do the players live in Sydney?

I know Priddis was living in Glenmore park while playing for the Dragons, but the beach suburbs are very popular, the shire, Eastern Suburbs and Nothern Beaches, if they can afford it. A few ex players, like Sterling have homes up here on the central coast, i think Rabs might as well, Terrigal seems popular.

Many people in Sydney have to travel 1-2 hours each way for work, so why should NRL players be any different? Joe has his family and church in the Penrith area which makes it hard to simply move house for a job

Its a three hour round trip from the central coast to Syd driving with decent traffic, i do that everyday and that is nothing out of the ordinary in Sydney. The morning trains from the Coast to Syd are packed everyday and the train is longer then driving.

Ive met people who come to Syd from Wyong, Morriset and even Newwy(f**k that) for work.

Edit: Our f**ked up roads are no help, all it takes is one peak hour crash or accident on one of the main arteries leading in to the City and it can f**k eveyones drive up.

I have met people from Katoomba and Lithgow who travel to the city every day. Nothing out of the ordinary

Dave Taylor lives in the same street as me in Cronulla, was always cleaning his boat during summer. Ben Ross must be around here as well, I saw him training with another guy in the park next door pretty regularly over summer. Brett Kimmorley is in the shire, got stuck behind him driving to work, slow driver. Bryce Gibbs lives in Bundeena. A few of the Tigers players live in Breakfast Point.

I'd imagine it'd be pretty tough when you can barely reach the pedals AND see over the dashboard at the same time.

If you live in Sydney and can afford it, you live in the shire, Northern Beaches or Eastern Suburbs.

Otherwise you live in Hurtsville, Punchbowl, Liverpool, Campelltown, Penrith, Fairfield.

Bizarre question.

But yeah like Mr. Angry said, if you can afford it you live in the Shire, Northern Beaches, or the Eastern Suburbs (which is where I'd say 80% of NRL players live).

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs bring out a lot of their NYC playing squad from New Zealand and place them all in a few houses close to the training facilities. They treat them pretty well (i.e., pay for air fares back home to visit family during breaks in pre-season training, etc).

Nah, GI only has 1 boat. The other one is Rusty's boat that they use to travel to QLD, Melbourne or NZ when rain stops them from flying.

Pretty sure the vast majority of the Manly squad live on the Northern Beaches - I've seen alot of them out and about. It's a pretty nice area and a pain in the ass to commute in and out of, so it makes sense they stay there.

It also explains how Manly manages to maintain a good playing roster - players like to live in the area. Also explains why teams like Canberra struggle to retain talent.

I think Galuvao and Taufua are the only 2 not living on the Northern Beaches. Galuvao is in St Marys and Taufua in Rooty Hill but he has relos in Dee Why and if he stays at Manly will probably move when his siblings are older.

I know Nightingale has lived in Oatley for ages, Carney is now living in Cronulla. I have seen a few players around Miranda shopping centre, so I guess there's quite a few living around the shire.
