He started as a shithouse fullback. I thought he copped a bit of unfair flack as he was an ok backrower. I will say that he is in the top five of most undeserving players to get an Australian jersey. Off the top of my head, the only two I'd put above him are Russell Richardson and Phil Bailey.

He was a typical soft cark that had a heap of size and ability but a heart size of a split pea. When he actually moved to the position he should have been playing in at the age of 20/21 he contributed to the side.

The cancer that sporned in our club when Matt Eddiott arrived sporned a secondary cancer. That's right trendsetters. MA was a very negative influence on our club as an assistant coach, who, from memory threatened to pull the boots on himself if the players didn't have a go. Straight out of the Harvard and Yale School of Management textbook......NOT.
