Ok is Hook going to be with us in 5 years , and will he take us to the top 4 ? ...... Is Hook building a team that next year will be on the edge of top 6 ( Hooks last if not extended ) ..... Or are they wasting another 5 years , then have to start all over again with another coach ? ..... Su'A , Molo , de Belin , Bird , Lawrie , are they good enough with what we have , plus Woods , McGuire , Macca , Mybe , I say no , so where are other forwards going to come from ? To have any chance next year , Sullivan , Amone , Sloan , Ramsey all need to be playing ..... This , "You cant have them all on the field together" ..... Why not ? ..... We have won some games against teams that are playing as bad and worst than us , and when they do play the better teams they get belted anyway ( with the experienced players ) ..... So Id rather lose playing the younger and let them gain first grade experience , and maybe they can score some exciting try's , not the crap dished up now ...... Anyway that's just my thoughts and yes I don't see much improvement if things stay the same .......

This is first grade in one of the great sporting clubs in history. All serious supporters are deeply concerned right now. If we're going to make any progress, we need to see it happening now. This year, next year and in five years time we're stuffed unless we develop a talented, fit, cohesive fist grade side right now, while we have the opportunity to do so. Possibly our last chance for a very long time.
IMO Ramsey has made some progress. Amone needs the combination with Sullivan - we need to see these boys work and hone their combination in the top grade. There must be more to the story but it certainly looks like Sloan's progress has gone awry. He's undoubtedly talented and needs to be a regular in 1st grade. It's the coach's jobs to give him all the skills and confidence he needs. I think the Faegai brothers, Muhleisen and Jaiden Hunt should also become regular 1st graders. There are a few other capable young forwards in KOE as well. Give them a run. Bird and Lomax should be given a spell in KOE. McGuire and Mbye should be on the bench.

If Andrew Webster is correct in that he said on the Footy Show this morning that Cam Ciraldo is heading our way when Hook's contract ends - possibly coinciding with his deal at the Panthers finishing, then in 5 years, we would have won a premiership. Whoopee!:):)

Well the ice age got rid of the last Dinosaurs and if this bloody weather keeps up …….
After 234 days of consecutive rain, captain Aaron Woods celebrates his 500th NRL game captaining the mighty St George Perth Dragons to 10th place. Missing 4 players to Covid 25 astro strain, and having to walk to the ground due to the ongoing petrol crisis, the Dragons lost on the buzzer due to a baffling error by 600 game veteran Andrew McCulloch. The paltry crowd celebrating first weekend of freedom after lockdown #345 due to high levels of radiation from the European nuclear cloud were buoyed by the arrival of Prime Minister Kyle Sandilands in a rare public appearance. Only bright spot for the Dragons was a spirited 5 minute spell from Jayden Sullivan from the bench.

Wishful thinking one has to say as after all he is a Dragons supporter. I don't think he has a very high opinion of your current coach

Disagree, it shows that the die in the wool long suffering fans are hurting badly and getting more and more despondent and after the disgrace of Friday nights performance it’s not surprising
Yes obviously !!! It’s a oxymoran . Obviously it looks bleak but Sticking the knife in by these threads dont achieve anything.

Yes obviously !!! It’s a oxymoran . Obviously it looks bleak but Sticking the knife in by these threads dont achieve anything.

I tell you what hasn't achieved anything.

The countless threads suggesting the coach might try a few tweaks of the team that don't include adding more geriatrics.

The numerous pleas of posters for the club to sign some decent talent.

The myriad of posts suggesting the board wake up and change the culture of the club.

The negativity doesn't achieve much it's true but it's the way people cope with the grief of losing something important to them. It gives others the tiniest bit of relief in a tough stretch of time.

We would prefer our own players and coach criticise itself and say "this is unforgivable, we need to change things" but instead they are more comfortable keeping it diplomatic and selling a never ending illusion that we are on a path to something.

The sack McGregor thread was started in mid 2016. It took another 5 years of complete failure for the club to move on what the fans that knew better were asking for. How the hell can we expect this club have us in a better place 5 years from now?

I'm sure the club would much prefer the criticism from stained on fans than the deafening silence of the thousands who would have left by now.
