Where have all the "Nego's" gone???

I seem to remember that there were quite a few nego's on the forum in the pre-season bleeting about what a dreadful decision it was to sign Jason Smith and Matt Adamson.

Crying about what an horrible season we were going to have after we lost Statue, Muss & J Monas.

How Matt Elliott was the anti-Christ and should be sacked immediately!!!

I don't need to name names because everybody knows who you are already, I guess you've simply jumped back on the bandwagon again whilst things are good. I dare say you'll rear your ugly heads again when we start to lose a few games...

Fair enough, it's early in the season, and we've got some quality opposition to face in the weeks to come but you've got to admire what they've done so far. Great coaching, great off-season buys and great heart shown by everyone on the field.

What about Tonguey, played 50 minutes with a busted jaw, broken ribs, broken leg and broken both arms and it looks as if he'll back up again against the Rort-sters...

but we arnt negos per say, more realistics, we unlike the poso's will give credit where its due and admit when we're wrong, at the moment everything is going sweet, Smith and Adamson are carving up (as i thought and never really doubted)

But i still have huge conerns for Matt Elliot, for mine he cant take us to a premiership, ashamed of ourselfs? Please! :roll:

My bet is even the most stauched Poso had doubts on our season this year, but didnt have the balls to say it, thus far 3/3 is great, coming along nicely, but make no mistake, on form and quaility of opposition atm, we should 3/3, further more we SHOULD be 6/6 after Manly.

Its still very early on in the season, the only thing i have to eat humble pie over thus far is i was sure that Withers at half was a mistake, i was wrong and gladly and happily admit it, i wonder if we sat 0/3 right now which of you poso's would have the balls to admit you were wrong? ;-)

What a lame post. The so-called negos (no, we are actually realists) are still all around, like me, and are happily praising the club for the past 3 weeks. You obviously have a vendetta here.

I am a "real fan" whether you like it or not. I stick with this club when the chips are down and praise them when things are going well.

For the record, I never criticised the signing of J Smith in particular. What I did say was that I held doubts not over his class but his ability to last in the NRL. IMO, that concern still exists and is perfectly valid.

But I have stuck to my guns, saying that Matty Elliot is the greatest Raiders coach of all time....we would have won 7 GF's in a row if he was coaching back in 1987.

Anything he says, i believe is best for the club.

When they announced Smith and Adsos signings, i supported it 100%.

U can tell his heart and soul is 100% lime green!!!!!!!!

His decisions to keep Carney out of 1sts, is a little frustrating, but u gotto be patient when breeding talent, and patients is one of Mattys greatest qualities.
I blame the loss of Wiki to upper managment with $$, not Elliot

I have been to 2 games now (Bunnies and Dragons), and have had the most memorable weekends of my life, giving it to my fellow neighbours in rooster fans, tellin em, how wrong they were, how shit Joel is, how crap finch is, and who's coaching their team, and where that coach got his footy knowledge!!!

Yesterday i walked into Easts leagues supporter shop........gave them a cut-out of the NRL ladder.........chick looks at me in disarray.......I pointed to my raider hat, then to the roof, and walked out!!!!

Right, you want to talk about having the balls to say what's on you mind, there were many of us who stood up and backed the team no matter what, and copped a hefty amout of crap from you guys!! The reality is that we're not 0/3 we're 3/0 WE WERE RIGHT!!! Albeit for the time being. We may well go to shit but I know I'll still be there if we do... Will you??

I think not... Being a REAL Raiders supporter is not about jumping off in the low times and then jumping back on in the good times. If you're in stay in for the duration!! If I've got that wrong then tell me but the perception is that the negos are purely "Sunshine Supporters"

This is not a personal attack on you 69, it just pisses me off that when we're going well you never hear anything from the Nego's but lose a few game and it's strait back on the coach, the management etc.

The only things i have been critical of:

- withers at half
- doubts over Smith's shoulder
- Management
- Elliot as coach

Thus far only one has really be proven wrong and ive admitted to being wrong, where as last season when we were up the duff and it was clear to all that something was wrong, where were the 'Posos' to say "look your right, elliot is being a f**king idiot at the selection table" etc? it didnt happen.

Not a personal attack but f**k you have got the total wrong end of the stick, you got idea! The Negos arnt Sunshine supporters, despite being unhappy with how things were last year, we were all still watching/getting to the games we could, still cheering the boys on, we are still hear and always will be, but that doesnt mean that we have to ignore the facts and support a bloke who was and in some ways still IS making some very f**king idioitic choices at the selection table.

Management is still a f**king load of tripe, no one could argue otherwise
Elliot still has massive doubts over him, he is still making strange, boardering fasical decisions at the selection table.
Smiths shoulder still has concerns, he's played 3 games, if he is still right and i hope he is, in 10 weeks then as with Withers ill GLADLY admitt i was wrong. As will all Negos

The Negos is about giving credit where it due but still being able to look at things without the Green googles on, despite what some would have you believe that makes us no less a fan than you or anyone else

It pisses me off when we are accused of being lesser fans than the poso's just because we critise the club when they f**k up. Of corse you havnt herd anything for us, because when theres nothing wrong, we have nothing to complain about and we HAPPY if thats the case, we are happy to let dead dogs lie, but if the club/coach or player f**ks up you can sure as hell bet your house on the fact were gonna make it know.

We never jumped off, we were and still are highly critical of things done at this low time but we didnt jump off, my jersey and colours were never thrown in a locked box, you assume this is the case and thats put bluntly f**king idiotic and stupid assumptions

Further more the club NEEDS fans like the neogs, and yes we are fans, if the entire fan base was like the posos the place would be in shambles like the Knights, because they could get away with murder with no repercusions of fans, no one would say a f**king thing and the club would assume that fans are happy with everything, does this mean we dont turn up to games? No Bay and Greeneyed are there every home game, last season i put N/A's in at work every week on Raiders game day so that if i couldnt get to the game (which was often) at the very least i was there in my jersey, on the lounge telling the olds to go out so i wouldnt get in trouble for screamin the house down

Dont preach to us about being a real fan, we are real fans, the only difference is when things arnt going the way they shoud we let the club know that we arnt happy and that things need to change

Last year was a bit of a trainwreck with issues and injuries - but we still somehow made the 8. This year will really tell us how good a coach he is... Take a good look at our roster...if we come close to the top four again after so many spoon predictions I think the guy deserves a medal.

Then again, if you want to see Carney become Brett Finch mark II - sure - ride Elliott's arse until he puts him at starting half and we'll see what happens...

The only player I've been truly sorry to see go since Elliott has been coach is Wiki - and after his suspended start to the season I've started to think it's not such a bad thing he's gone (although I'd still have him in my team any day). That's not so say I've been jealous of guys like Mick Monaghan doing so well after leaving - but at the time he left I certainly didn't worry about it too much.

How about the next time somebody bags Elliott they give a viable alternative and explain why they would choose them instead (remembering guys like Wayne Bennett are probably busy).

When suggesting Elliot be sacked we have offered that we dont just settle for someone, my suggestion was give the job to Snoopy UNTILL the right bloke was found, now that may be 1 week it might 1 year, hell it might been 3 years, but when suggesting this Elliot as coach wasnt working, it seems so far he is going alright but as said, we should be 3/3, in fact IMO we should be 6/6 come end of Manly game, ive said off season and if need by ill find the quote that one bad year in 04 and one good year in 03, so this year is the ice breaker, thus far he is passing but make no mistake, he hasnt had a real test yet

Injuries start to come in and harder opposition is coming up... his test has yet to even begin

Id love it for Elliot to prove me wrong and take us to the top 4 and maybe even a premiership, id love nothing more than for Management to prove me wrong and start moving the club in a forward direction and nothing more would please me than to see Withers carve up all year at half with Smith by his side every step the way.

But because i suggest that this might not be the case, im a lesser fan than you?

Elliot is the greatest coach in raiders history

Sheens got credit from the quality of players he coached.........he hasnt done anything since leaving for the Cowboys and Tigers
Mal was disgraceful, and was the cause of our rebuilding slide, in which Elliot had to cop the wrath of and is fixing it all up as we speak.

Look what Elliot did the the Bradford Bulls...........its taking longer with the raiders, but i can see resemblence!!!!!!!!

Our Juniors are killing it.......we have 4yr contracts on Carney, Weyman and Campo............we are preserving our talent, and keeping them Green with envy

We cannot afford to let Elliot go in the next 5 yrs IMO

Ill use myself as an example because i dont know the details of others:

Ive been a fan for nearly 13 years of my 18 years of life, ever since i was old enough to know what league is ive been a Raiders fan, im also a nego as their called.

This off season i have:
- repainted my room in traditional green, yellow and blue colours
- already beaten my mark of games per season to go to, and plans to go to ALOT more, Tigers Trial and Bunnies game, one of which my voice didnt fully recover untill 3 days latter
- transfered from day time to night fill at woolies to try and help accomidate my increase number of games i plan to attend
- once 18 plan on getting the raiders logo as a tatoo on my shoulder or pec
- told my work that if canberra are playing not to roster me on as i wont be available.
- spent over over 300 dollars on new raiders gear, and have already planed another 300 dollar spree, this on a woolies pay packet often leaves me short changed but hey its worth it
- although not a member yet i plan to become one as of this week when im down for the roosters game
- i spend a vast majority of my free time here and there posting about my thoughts on canberra and league in general, including finally gettting a team and captaining the Raiders 7's team.

And apparently because i crisitse the club, players and coach when they f**k up, im not a real fan? :roll:
