I said that to a mate of mine the other day since Steve (I like to call him "God") retired...the cricket doesn't have the same punch at the moment.

It's good that Kasper is back in the side....him and I go way back to Grade 7...except his cricket career blossomed and mine stayed in the grades!!

I'm in a lull....expecting 6 printers to arrive to set up on our network but they ain't here yet!!

My unit is a shrine to young Stephen Rodger Waugh. 1986 2nd Test v India until earlier this year.... he was an institution. :D

But once we did the floodgates opened!!!!!

My favourite Steve quote after we won our first title was "....whether South Australia is allowed to enter next years' competition is still to be decided."

Only because they couldn't get anyone picked in the Test side....

Yes, South Australia should never have been allowed back after that effort...

I was hoping Steve might take a leaf out of Mark's book and play for twelve months for NSW just so I could take the edge off the addiction slowly. :D

How much did NSW beat SA by? I cant remember
:?:

Qld beat South Australia for their first Sheffield Shield triumph after being in the comp since it commenced more or less. It was a caused much mirth for Qld members of the Australian Test Team when Carl Rackemann arrived in the West Indies sporting the winners t-shirts. No-one ever thought it would happen.....

Probably the greatest 5 days of my life.....sporting wise.... ...hope the wife isn't reading this!!!

And was there for the whole lot!!!!

In Ian Healys' book he demanded that he share a room with Rackemann when he arrived in the West Indies so they could live it up!!!!
