Penrith are being written off by all and sundry but Penrith's culture has traditionally been to screw up when the expectations are high and sneak under the radar when they're tipped as spoon contenders.

Agreed. Tipped for the wooden spoon in 2003, and finished up premiers. 2005, called by some as premiership favourites and finish 10th. 2004 was pretty much on par with my expectations.

Wrong! You will get a piece of paper with D***H*** written on it.

It's always good to see BBSF nailed to the wall - but that was pure comedy gold. Nominee for call of the year already!

BULLDOGS
2002 - Biggest points for and most wins ever recorded for a wooden spoon side. 17 straight wins, second longest streak in RL history.

Dodge how can you even bring up records from 2002? they weren't records, the only reason why Canterbury put that streak together because they rorted the salary cap, if they didn't rort they would've been lucky to win 3 in a row that year, they came a justifiable last.

By the looks of all your predictions so far you guys don't see Manly goin any good this year. I was at the Tigers trial on the w/e, while still a bit rusty we had a 300% increase in attacking power. Also defence looked way more structered than last year. I think manly's biggest problem this year will be down the left hand side defence. A couple of times early on they were caught lapsing, but overall a solid game. Plenty of depth in PL aswell. I would expect a top 5 finish for the eagles this year, I think anything less than that we will have underacheived.

Thats my 0.2c, take it or leave it :p

Predicting Manly is an tricky one, i think they have the forward pack but i doubt if they have the depth in the backs to be a force, Stephen Bell is a good player but i'm still unconvinced that he is super star material. I think i predicted them for 9th give or take a couple of positions with them they're a wait & see proposition.

On Manly

While their top 17 is pretty strong depth still looks like a major issue

If Orford goes down with an injury Michael Witt comes into the side (even if its at 5/8 with Monas at 7).

and other depth problems across the park, and I honestly can't see them keeping the same 17 out there for 24 rounds + finals (if they make it).
