Where to sit?

I am coming down to canberra this weekend for my first ever match at canberra stadium for the the top of the table blockbuster! Just wondering if you raiders fans could tell me where is the best place to sit and to park?

Depends what sort of view you like?

Inner bowl is down low, close to the action. Meninga side is in the shade, Eastern side is in the sun.

Up in the grandstand the view is still great.

I was thinking of sitting down low about 10 rows back near half way, is it hard to get those seats?

Every seat, except those behind the posts, have a pretty good view of the ground. Parking is right next ot the ground, and only costs $5.

Incorrect. MOST of them are, not all of them. I've usually been able to get inner bowl seating around the 20 metre line for all matches this season except the Roosters.

Seriously though the best thing to do is park at the Raiders club (it's free!) and then it's just a short stroll to the ground from there.

Also there is free parking at CIT (Canberra's version of TAFE), just a short walk from the ground.

Umm not a good idea to park at the club, you'll be walking from Gungahlin. I think Roy Rover means to park at Raiders HQ or the CIT (tafe) parking. But be careful if you're going to park there, cars get broken into and I've had 2 back tyres slashed.
It's easier to get out of the ground after the match if you've parked on the main entrance side (and I'm hoping you'll be wanting to leave pretty quickly..), but don't try parking too close it's all disabled and pre-paid parking (learnt that the hard way).

The parking at CIT will go pretty quickly, since there should be a fairly big crowd there.
