he cant travel and live in england as Carney was rejected cause of criminal offence.
I bet the roosters,Bulldogs or Parra get him though
they should deduct his wages when he returns and force him to get a job as well or community service between trainig and the game.
if he doenst like that then quit playing and quit something he does what he likes as he doenst understand its a blessing to get payed playing sport

if he is found guilty of course and its not something that some bag is trying to get money out of him as you cant trust women hanging around clubs and teasing footy players as way too many are after cash

if found guilty, ban him for atleast the rest of the year. The kid has potential. but more importantly the kid has issues that he needs help with. I don't care if he never plays again, I don't want to see him just tossed aside without being offered serious help.

Here is a chance for the NRL to really step up, they should be working with the Raiders to really have a positive impact on him and really put things in place for the benefit of current and future players to put them back on the right path. If they do this right and Ferguson actually wants to move forward in a positive way, then they can turn this into something very positive for the game.

I'm so tired and sick of this 'let's help the player' crap.

When are we going to realise in society that some people are just turds.

Ricky stuart made one good point in his 12 player crap 'we've got to stop cuddling players'.

Honestly is Ferguson's attitude, drinking problems (if they even exist and he's not just being a dick) anyone else's problems but his own?

If i have a drug dependency issue do you think my employer is going to look after me? f**k no.

Maybe for once people need to prove themselves off the field that they are of high quality before they can do it again on the field.

f**king ridiculous.

Paramatta with Ricky.

He chose to leave the Sharks when Ricky left because he had a big part in his development.

And they have money.

Do they have the $ with sandow, hayne & Hopoate in their team next year. There's nearly 1/2 the salary cap there.

If the NRL steps in and forces Canberra to sack him they should de-register him for a period of time to safeguard against Canberra being disadvantaged from him playing for another club.
If the NRL do not get involved then Canberra should not sack him. They should suspend him internally and fine him a huge amount.
Clubs seen to do the right thing by disciplining players end up being kicked in te ass when they play for another club a month later.

So in short.
Canberra or nowhere.

The justice system doesn't work that swiftly. The trial date, if it proceeds to trial, won't be for months, well after the end of the season.

If Fergurson is eventually sacked by Canberra he'll go to St George or the Roosters.

Plenty of jobs have EAP counselling where an employee can get assistance for a drug or alcohol related problem.

Blake Ferguson has a unique skillset he is obviously going to be given more support than some guy selling hats or whatever.

Is his problem not his own?

Another f**king Gen Y attitude.

The world owes me everything, but i won't prove that i belong in this world.

What's better for his employer recruiting or promoting from within a less skilled employer or offering him counselling.

I mean my job doesn't pay for me to have first rate medical care and the like. Pro sports people have every aspect of their physical being taken care of by their clubs. Why is mental health so different.

Hang on now you are talking about the employer, before you were banging on about how we need to help the employee.

Which one is it.

Don't wait to respond, i'll tell you.

Only Ferguson can fix Ferguson.

The employer will benefit from helping the employee. I don't think the raiders should do this out of the kindness of their hearts otherwise why not just drive around Canberra picking up alcoholics and fixing them. What I'm saying is that because Blake possesses a unique skillset its in his employers interest to assist him through this because a raiders side with Ferguson will be better than one without.

He is 23 already one of the best 3/4s in the game and wants to be at the raiders. Any replacement besides maybe a handful of players would be inferior.

If found guilty, being banned for any length of time would be the least of his problems.
