How has our playing roster changed/improved? It hasnt. Maybe the coach has changed, but I dont see where we have picked up the necessary forwards to be competitive. Most of the other teams have our measure, because Parra hasnt changed/improved its roster for so long. I envisage another long year. I hope that I am wrong, and will be happy if I am!;-)

We only brought in Kevin 'Kofi' Kingston. But we do have a new coach.

So...realistically, where will we finish?

If we came close to the 8 last year, then even with the loss of a lot of experience in the playing ranks, I think we'll see some of the guys who had a bit of a bludge last year on the field, bust a gut in their time out there in games this season.

Bottom half of the 8 for mine.

we were a few wins outside the 8 last season, you don't think anderson is worth a few more wins than hagan?

quite possibly, but our squad is considerably weaker thanks to Hagan's inability to assemble a strong competative squad on his own.

on paper maybe but a decent coach should be able to get more out of our less experienced players. i expect anderson to do this much like brian did with ryan, vella, cayless, hindmarsh, marsh, lyon, etc in 2000/01.

i am very much looking forward to seeing what anderson can do. he had me at "i will look at our players strengths and then assess" - which is what hagan should've done instead of his 'i have no ideas so i'll run with the cliche that you need to be boring and predictable to win games' philosophy.

I'm quietly confident we can scrape into the eight and maybe even as high as 6th.
We all know we have the talent and the main reason last year was so poor was because of the teams attitude. DA will change this and it will have a huge impact. We also need to start the season well with a few wins to get the belief up.
Looking forward to a new start !

Rugby league is a confidence game-A game of momentum.

If Parra start well(say win 6/10) i think they will go on to make finals.
Beeing a young team-Start bad they could get spoon. If it was manly or melbourne and they started bad they could turn it around-Parra cant afford this-Need to get the team right from first 4 rnds too and stick with a group of 17-20 players

Hagan's two years have dealt the side a severe blow. The forwards are powder puffs and the half back is a homo. I believe Anderson is good but he will only be improving us two places to the 9th position.

However, with the form Hayne and Mateo are in, i believe we might be able to make the 8 given that the forwards put in extra yards.

I don`t think Hagan screwed us up as much as a lot of people think. We DONT have the players. I`ll ask the question again: how many of our players would automatically walk into first grade in ANY other NRL side?
Hindemarsh, Mateo, Inu (on previous form) Hayne (on previous form) and Reddy. That`s about it, isn`t it?

4th, i have a good feeling that DA can turn things around very quickly. I also believe we'll be incredibly more fitter then what we were this year, just an increase in fitness will prove enough to bring more wins our way.

My only concern is 5/8 and backrow.

Why is five-eight your concern? I thought Jarryd Hayne was the best player in the world?

Where does my heart think the Eels will finish and where does my head think they will finish are two very different places. My heart wants what every Eels supporter wants , the pinacle of our sport, The Premiership. My head thinks that if we can come up with some good wins and be more competitive, then we can make the eight, but there is alot to do before I will even let myself think that .:?
