Where would a Western corridor/Jets team play?

Regardless of what some think on here a western corridor team is inevitable.
Population growth in Logan and Ipswich is gonna exceed a million people in the next few years. RL has a lot of fervent support in the area too.

Question is, do they play their games at Suncorp and their be the likelihood of oversaturation of Brisbane itself or do they just play at suburban grounds in Ipswich and Logan?

Hopefully start off like the dolphins by splitting their games between suncorp(city) and suburban grounds.

I'm not against any Western Corridor team but Logan is not part of any "western Corridor" - it is south east Brisbane.

Yes this

Logan is more closer to redlands... i would think oversaturation of Brisbane would happen if logan had a team.. as its more or less, right between titans and bronx

As for a home ground, suncorp for half, and a set up in Springfield for the other, even a few trials in Toowoomba would be good, it would give suncorp a lot of attention each weekend, the the bronx can spew out that "this is our home" chant every weekend

There is no suburban ground capable of holding NRL in Brisbane, and that includes Dolphin Oval.

It's Suncorp or nothing for mine.

Spending $500M so Brisbane can have 2 NRL stadiums for 3 teams is just bad economics.

Understandable, although the Olympics in 2032, would have the QLD govt invest in rectangular stadia, can only be good for RL and soccer

They should play in the Queensland Cup where they belong.

There was talk of an upgraded ground

like dolphin park they need something like the Gold Coast for games against the smaller teams and the bigger games at Suncorp

or just play most games at Suncorp

It makes sense if Dolphins are aiming for the North & East that a new team if/when it happens would target the South & West. In saying that I’m sure the Broncos & Titans target Logan as well.

As for where they play it has to be majority at Suncorp, none at Ipswich in it’s current state and I’d imagine it would be unlikely to get an upgrade. Might see them take a home game to Toowoomba but more likely just trials.

After Dolphins getting a crowd of 23k for a Thursday night against a Sydney team even they should be reconsidering any NRL games at Redcliffe.

Lang Park is the only option.

The three teams would be drawing fans from all over but can still have demarcation boundaries.

You have to remember that kids will choose to follow teams for a number of reasons. If all three teams are playing out of Lang Park, it might be that the kid likes the team colours or the mascot. Maybe their parents are fans. Or the team showed up in their suburb for a meet and greet.

25K new stadium at North Ipswich reserve, I have seen vague plans of the stadium and will also include a footpath/bridge across the river from Ipswich central.

So..

8 games @ Ipswich
4 games @ Suncorp (QLD derby games)

Has it bee announced if suncorp will hold the ceremonies or the gabba?

unfortunately athletics is a much bigger drawcard than the rectangular sports in the Olympics so id assume a lot of money will go the the gabba being an oval - there's not all that much need for multiple large rectangular venues..

A soccer world cup on the other hand would be the event most beneficial to RL in this country

Western coridoor have weak financials

joining with the bombers did nothing

it doesn’t look like they have a leagues club either

perhaps a merger with easts is the way to go it’s a shame such a rich club like easts should miss out on an nrl spot

play most games at Suncorp but play some games in the western coridoor somewhere too

if easts merged with western coridoor the broncos would have less objections
