For someone who once carried on about being 'above personal attacks' and who 'only debates the issues', you...well....aren't. And don't.

Picked on yet? Maybe you can try to get the thread locked? Not quite ready yet?

We can wait.

Anyway, I'm popping over to the Greenhouse. See you there, Bay?

Oh. That's right...I forgot.

Sorry. God, how awkward.

lol what a pathetic thread.
The funniest thing is Bay pushed $350-400k for TC months ago and was written off(amongst other, less flattering, things) but yet you're all cheering the current re-signing.

He also bags mangement profusely, and refuses to credit them for anything they do good
he cant even bring himself to give a simple "Well done" post... even Matt and dolph did that... i guess they are men of their words, when they says credit where its due, they mean it...

Do they deserve any better?
Lets not gloss over the massive f**kups management have presided over since they took back the club simply because they have retained TC. They have done fantastic since the removal of Elliot and my confidence in them grows everyday, however it is going to take a while to repair the damage that has been done.
I doubt that many Raiders fan could deny their first thoughts over TC during this saga were "He's gone". The blame for such pessimism lies with the club, not with the fans.

So if they have been fantastic since the removal of elliott, how about abit of praise for that?
instead of harping on things some 18 months ago? Why not just say as i have many times, they f**ked up in the past but have turned the corner in a big way and deserve some kudos for their troubles

what they are good enough to bag but not to praise?
When does it stop? When do we say enough is enough and its time to get over the past?
For 90% of us, that was 6 months ago... for Bay 56 and his anti management axe, i doubt that day will EVER come. I mean for god sakes, he cant even man up and say well done for management snearing Carney for 100k less a season then offered elsewhere... highly competitive market, Don Furner V Max Delmage V Penrith and Elliott... and Furner beat the pants off of them.

and my first thought was not He's gone but rather "he'll stay" i only ever doubted it when Manly and Penrith offered 500k a year

Incorrect on both counts IMO. Anyone with half a clue would have known that we were in the box seat to retain Carney. And as 69 said, how many postives do the club need to produce before fans such as yourself will have an optimistic outlook?

Tough crowd IMO.

Yeah, it's a pathetic thread, Chief.

I don't think you quite got the point, though. Damn near every post from Bay is bagging off 'management'. Through the Carney case, he's been bagging off what may have been rather than what was, and, let's face it...he has absolutely no idea what's going on beyond the headlines in the Canberra Times.

My point in this thread was just this; if you spend thousands of emails crticising perceived faults, surely when there is a real success you need to be big enough to stand up and say 'fair call, they did well'.

That's all.

The first reply post in the thread that announced the re-signing of TC and after the the Thread "Where's Bay" ....

Well done to all ... $400K a year is about the amount we should pay for TC.

A big thanks to all those including politicians, ex players, etc that assisted management in getting this one over the line.

Good to hear and certainly makes this supporter very happy.

I might ask where were T_R or hrundi to give their congrats .... or were they more interested in stirring up sh*te as per usual aong with a few other clowns ... and does that satisfy the requirements of post #50 in this thread (learn to f**king read dude before you make one of your many baseless accusations)

You and some other clowns obviously dont read my posts very carefully as per this reply to my post ....

 Come on mate, credit where it is due. This is a big day for your club, a very big day. Enjoy it without the rants mate and appreciate the efforts of Donny and the Hawk.

sh*te from the usual clowns I accept as part of the scene but must admit I didnt expect such an ignorant statement.

I might add it will be interesting to see what salary cap structure management will adopt in the future.

I suspect it will much like I suggested recently and to which the usual clowns on this forum criticised and/or ignored for the sake of adopting a sh*t stirring mentality.

If reports are correct and management have finally seen fit to pay what is required to retain/attract a marquee player they get my acceptance and congratulations .... it has been a long time coming but maybe the sort of thinking that is required to take this club further has finally sunk into the minds of those that make those decisions.

Lets hope we never revert to paying the likes of David Howell the reported $200K he was stealing from this club.
