He threw a tantrum after his dad got orders from above to drop him or you'll be dropped

don't think we'll see him in tigers colours again

I wonder what they threatended Sheens with. I didn't think we could afford to sack Sheens as well as pay another head coach. I'm also intrigued why the order came down to sack Fitzy now. Why did it take so long to do this and why was Sheens allowed to resign him in the first place

Its got me scratching my head- dont know whether this is all bullsh*t or truth.

If truth, as you say, what is behind it? Sheens form / habits / obsessions have been known for sometime by most here and I'd say by the WT board too. Maybe with Simmons going to ESL for 2011, the WT board and Sheens are looking at different options / paths for 2011 too and this is the first shot across the bows?

The pressure was bought to bare because the chief playmakers of the side were over it and had enough of his lack of contribution (not effort) and Tims putting him in vital roles.

When two of the highest paid players are at the end of their patience the front office has no choice but to stand up

Okedoke, thanks.

Lets hope this happening plays out further towards seasons end and Teflon walks away. There was that rumour a while ago of him going to Canberra as coaching co-ordinator- maybe Sheensy will dust off their phone number once more.

Sad event but Fitzy definitely played one season too many- same as Moodie (I think) was tempted back for one final season too many.

Well if thats true it explains a lot and also creates some questions.
1. if certain players are over some of shines selections could suggest they are also over shines himself ?
2. If they are over shines, could that be a reason for lack lustre displays on the field as players are just doing what they want and not listening to directions ?
3. Does this mean just like Ricky Stewart the players arent playing for him so he'll walk?

Is there any truth to this stuff about Sheens being told to drop him? If so what are the sources? The goose should never have been allowed to step foot back in the place, he couldn't make it over in the ESL so what they bring him back to the NRL!!!! Go f&*kin figure!

I would wager we'd be playing a bit more like the second half of 2005 if the players were doing whatever they wanted.

westie's right.

The players look tired, or bored, or maybe both.

Shines has them playing a Bennyball style game. Five one outs and a kick, tackle tackle, tackle. Keep it simple cut out the mistake, discipline , hope for a mistake and throw some Benji magic in if all the above fail.

I suppose based on 2006 thru 2009 it has some merit, we are now winning games unlike in the past although the entertainment levels have dropped. Maybe we might revert to the old style if and when we get to the big games.
