Obviously incumbency should play apart in the Australian line-up and so the likes of Locky, Hodges, Yow Yeh, Thaiday and Hannant should be there again but should more players join them?
For Australia, I believe Corey Parker is an obvious candidate. I've been quite vocal in the past about selecting him off the bench, but I'm prepared to say I was wrong and believe he's definitely worthy of a jersey, even ahead of Glenn Stewart. The other player I'd like to see join the side is Josh McGuire who I thought was brilliant for us during the lead into the finals. Unfortunately for him, his decision to play for Samoa last season may have cost him and since the Broncos were bundled out I can see the selectors over-looking him to little fan-fare, even though, I reckon had we won, he would be.
But what about New Zealand? Do you think Glenn and Beale will make it?
And of course England, it appears our resident ranga Jack Reed might make his debut and suddenly the QCup centre will of blossomed into an international. Won't that get the revisionist tongue's wagging! Suddenly 2011 will be a season of underachievement given all the internationals in our side, despite where they started from.
What do you guys think?
