actually tough because i seem to be like most people & automatically think of halfbacks but there are people on that list who were damn good players!

John Lang was the second best hooker I have ever seen play, after Steve Walters. He was an extraordinary player and those who say "we never saw the best of him" are those who were not in Brisbane seeing him play every week, when the Brisbane competition was extremely strong. The year Lang went to the Roosters, Sydney people suddenly woke up and realised what an incredible player he was. He played for Qld, NSW and Australia all in the same year.

John Lang for mine. He only ever played in Brisbane didn't he?

He played one season with the Roosters and then went back to Brisbane - a very good player and we never saw the best of him

My point was "we" does not refer to everyone in this forum. "We" also DID see the best of him.

Tim Sheens held the club record for most first grade appearances for Penrith for quite a few years - something like 160-odd. He was a solid second rower, but not flashy - he was never going to play rep footy.

But he was a great club man.

As much as I hate to say this... Sticky Ruart by a country mile.

If the question had of read.....'assistant coach or manager' then Brad Clyde would be right in the running with John Cartwright in the minors.

Michael Hagan represented QLD 5 times and won a couple of premierships in the 80's before been a great player for the knights in his later years. Why is he not on the list, especially seeing he is a better player then some on it.

I put him on it but i think it only takes 10 options.

He would be my 3rd choice.

Stuart by a mile.
I'd love to say Brown and Elliott (Dragons boys) but reality is Stuart was a dominating and highly skilled player.
An arrogant prick, but an awesome halfback.
