I used to put plenty of sh*t on this player. I thought he was average. Luke Burt is a player that has made me eat humble pie. He has now become a Parramatta great. An enigma. Without doubt the smartest winger in the comp. A great finisher and goalkicker. I do not know many wingers that can kick a field goal from nearly anywhere and win a game for you.

Well done Burty!!!

Any other nominations/confessions ? :D

I'll also put my hand up for Luke Burt.
In saying that, he has given us some horribly lean performances over the years, but he has been great this year.

1. Burt - I never like Burt as a player. I always think he is TOO SMALL and didn't really put his body on the line. Actually, I still don't know why oppositions don't bomb him more. However, at wing, I am at peace with him now.

2. Lowrie - Dropped Balls, Dominated, ineffective tackles -> tackling machine, ball passer, low error rate.

3. Caylo - without his offloading or passing before the line, he was useless. He tried but was always dominated. Now that he passes before the line, the defense is in two minds.

Jeff Robson !

I believe i was calling him the worst half the NRL has ever seen.

The big difference is the fact that the team play to his strengths instead of making him do things he isn't very good at.

three players have served up a big slice of humble for me.

1. Nathan Cayless: like most people i wanted him gone. Now i can't get enough of his off loads. Keep it up.

2. Jeff Robson: Read first sentence above. He has come on in leaps and bounds. I would like to keep him around next season.

3. TODD LOWRIE: The Todd. i feel ashamed for bagging him so much like many others on this forum. he has been on fire and i hope we can keep him next year. I even started a Todd Lowrie fan club thread.

GO PARRA.

Never had a problem with Burt - admired him for the fact that he always seems to be "punching above his weight".

I am currently dining on Lowrie humble pie at the moment, and hopefully continue to do so.

Eric Grothe - He seemed to be down and out last year and releasing him i woulndt have cried over but now he's improved dramtically, sure his defence can be a little suss but its not as bad as last year and his runs from the back really help put us on the front foot.

Joel Reddy - Seemed ok defensively but he's improved out of sight as a defender and he's a great finisher too, knows how to score tries

Yes, although my favourite player, I was calling for Burt >>> Wenty as I thought the 2007 form was not coming back. He has proved me wrong.

Also Joel Reddy, I thought anyone could have looked good in our 2008 team, and he was below average, just tried hard (funch the second), but he is slightly above average, I didn't give him enough credit.

Cayless, as the year has gone on, he has proved to me that he can offer something to the team.

Agreed, burt is definitely a winger and should not have been at fullback but then again we didnt have DA to spot that out! Just mediocre coaches with nothin in the way of positional play !

Lowrie was definitely my humble pie delivery boy. Hes playing with passion and thought! Humble tasting good at the moment !

I was knocking Caylo hard aswell but that week he was injured you could tell that he brings more to the team then he gets credit for.

Us Parra fans are being humbled Sheik style.

Iv knocked alot of players, and they deserved it. But the one that has turned it around the most is definatly Tood. Everytime he gets the ball now ill say "go Tood, GO TOOD!".

Id like to say that he is the most improved, but Jarryd Hayne is easily the most improved.

Ben Smith - didn't think he would go well in the forwards at all. His defence in recent weeks has been outstanding.

Blair Kurtz.

This guy was a defensive machine. I thought he would play a lot more first grade than he did. He retired far too early....to continue his career as a veterinarian.

Benny will be our Wagon.

One side Hindy to defend and one side Benny to defend.

He has done really well since he has introduced so much aggression in his game.

Potentially we will have 80mins backrowers:

13. Mateo
12. Smith
11. Hindy

So don't know what to do with the Shack since:

FFMM, Caylo, Poore, Mannah will share the Front Row.
