For me its Fiji v England with Wales v Italy a close second.Actually I just can't wait for this tournament to start even though my NRL side is still alive.

england v australia in cardiff.....

we've not played them for 2 years so it'll be good to see how much we've improved and how old the aussies have got....cos their team will be pretty much the same as 2 years ago,2 years older,a 30 year old spine,no hodges, probably no inglis....

gonna be interesting

Playing Aus is one of the few games I get really nervous about.. so much that I can't enjoy it that much. Looking forward to the Fiji game tho.

Beyond the Big 3 events, Group B looks absolutely great, as does Group C. The Quarter Final that doesn't involve one of the Big 3 (probably Fiji v PNG/Samoa/France) should be a cracker too.

well marv does'nt lol

theres been 2 long periods through history where either GB/ENG or Aus have dominate.....and i can't help feeling australias time is finally coming to a end.....ravaged by injuries, aging spine, dinosaur coach and the depth really isn't what it used to be....

i believe they are there to be beat this year...

When is the last time England/GB won a Test against Australia? 2006? That being said I guess they've only had 5-6 cracks at them since then. Of course England beating Australia in the opening match would be the perfect start tp the tournament and while I agree Australia are on the decline and will soon be evenly matched by the Kiwis (and England at home) I don't hold out much hope for England again. Hopefully Tomkins as a blinder. But misses the final against the Kiwis with a slight hamstring strain :)

This England side is still weaker than the 2004 GB side, which was the last team to actually appear it may have the Roos measure.

We saw how the Roos responded in the 2004 tri-nations final. When the Roos turn the dial up, and they are still getting pummelled, that's when you know their time is up.

Im lookin forward to Italy and USA's first games.

Also Fiji, they would have a fairly decent squad and I hope they can repeat their 2008 performance.

Australia Vs England would be a pretty good battle.

But Im predicting the same result as 2011, the first 20 minutes will tough fo both sides before Australia will kick clear. No doubt the Poms will go well with the Burgess brothers, James Graham, Sam Tomkins, Kevin Sinfield and Lee Mossop.

I see now Lee Mossop is NRL bound he'll " go well". Australia didn't even know who Lee Mossop was six months ago

Too true. Hopefully he'll make the squad but I wouldn't be too surprised if he doesn't crack the first 17 this WC. Still very young for a prop though, he'll play at other WCs, no doubt.
