Which games..advice...

Now I've got a PS3 and FINALLY some decent games are coming onto the system...BUT the problem I'm facing is the types of games I like there is 2 or more of the same type coming out so i'm asking which if you had the choice would you get. I am downloading demos atm to help decide but your ghelp would be great too. Now pending money issues...I may end up getting both but probably only one...so which games would you get so I can add to my games collection (currently consisting of a measly 4 games...Madden, Fifa, ROFM, Motorstorm)

~Skate Or Tony Hawks Proving Ground (I just played the Skate Demo and its not too bad but pretty difficult but whilst it is a bit realistic I'm thinking THPG just because it is a pick me up game)
~NBA Live 08 or NBA 2K8 (I am an EA gamer but the reviews favour NBA 2k8...I might just see what others get just so I can play them online)
~ Rock band or Guitar Hero 3 (This is one I'll probably get both...I love guitar hero and rock band is interesting cause I've always wanted to play drums plus when the boys come round for a beer it will be fun)
~Need for Speed pro Street Or Juiced 2 (I need a car game...until Burnout paradise comes out next year...and NFS is te one I'm leaning towards)
~Call of Duty 4 or medal of Honour Airbourne (I am a MOH fan but Call of duty looks awesome)
~ i am also thinking about getting a NHL game as I haven't had one since 05...so NHL 2K8 or NHL 08


Add to the fact that I will get Assassins Creed and SD Vs Raw 08 and GTA IV next year plus then I will have the upcoming decisions of thinking about getting Haze, Unreal Tournament 3 or killzone 2.

Any other games anyone would recommend?

pro evolution soccer for sure

i've always liked NFS and i didn't find juiced very enjoyable

make sure you keep money for GTA4

Juiced was crap to me too but mates reckon number 2 is good...but I may hold off on a car game until burnout paradise.

Call of duty 4 over MOH for sure. You can download a single player PC demo of COD4 now, and its wicked.

NBA 2K8 for sure. 2K sports just keeps getting better while Live just keeps getting worse it seems.
Same with Medal of Honor. Call of Duty kills it.

I just downloaded both demos for PS3 and quite simply Live was balls except had a better presentation than 2k8. 2k8 though I didn't think was that great either but better than live. I just played the Skate demo and it is pretty cool just waiting on the THPG to download.

I personally enjoy playing skate alot more...

Even though it is ALOT more difficult to pick up and play at first, I actually enjoy that. Since Tony Hawk 1, it has never EVER taken me more than a maybe 6-7 hours to finish any tony hawk game.

Hell, until they started putting in those rubbish non-skating challenges (why the f**k would I want to have challenges completely based around walking???) i could knock a tony hawk game on the head in about 4 hours!

I basically get a little bored with being very good at a game from the outset. Skate put me back at square one, landing a kick flip into a nose grind is actually a challenge, rather than a lame trick.

~ Guitar Hero 3
~ Need for Speed Pro Street
~ Call of Duty 4 (Get this for sure over MoH, could be game of the year)
~ Dunno about NHL.

I have NBA Live 2008 and it's sh*t! I do have 2K7 and I like it. I have been a NBA Live fan since 1995. But I will be sending NBA Live 2008 back to the shop. It wasn’t that good at all. The game play is very unreal.

Ok update played both b-ball demos and to be honest I didn't like either...but 2k8 was better. As for Skate or Tony hawk...I downloaded both demos and skate is WAAAAAYYYYYY better. Tony Hawk just feels wrong after playing skate.
