Cliffy. Any year. He was absolutely magical, his passing skills were outrageous. He was my favourite player prior to Auckland coming into the comp.

Of players I have seen, I reckon the team of people to see again would be

Brasher
Wishart
Gasnier
Girdler
Dallas
Florimo
Taylor
Petero Civinoceva
Buderus (through not being able to think of a single hooker I'm partinularly enamoured with seeing play again)
Larson
Adrian Morley
Billy Moore
Fittler

Fitzgibbon
Hindmarsh
Nikau
ET to cover basically any position

Tony Butterfield. Seriously One of my favourite props of all time. Nothing spectacular but was hard as nails and a player you could build a pack around.

There was such a glut of great 5/8 in the early 90's Winnie Cup. All with slightly different styles. Cliffy with his magic hands, Daley with a great running game and could put a shoulder charge on. Terry Lamb, tenacious with great backing up. The list goes on.

Craig Salvatori.

He and JWH would be the scariest front row ever... And most likely suspended.

Peter Sterling...with the current Eels team they would be awesome, just the thing they are lacking at the moment is someone to lead the team around.

Hmmm what Panther would make all the difference to the current side.

You'd have to pick Brandy, circa 1985, who was a magician really, and still only a kid.

Or someone to toughen up the forwards, a Geyer or a Matt Goodwin.

Or someone who inspires, such as a Chris Mortimer, who I believe played his best football at Penrith.

No love for Brandy circa 1991? I know Ewan McGrady and Mick Potter won the official awards, but Brandy was the best player that year, for mine. Though I will admit bias: he was my favourite non-Steelers player.

Martin Lang.
