Emilio - Re-Sign on a lower contract.
Wessel - Re-Sign on the same contract
Newton - Definitely Re-Sign on a slighty upgraded conyract
Peachey - Definitely Re-Sign on a much lower contract
Seers - Release
Saleh - Release
Nutters - Re-Sign on the same contract
Bickers - Release
IceAxe - Re-Sign on the same contract
Gallen - Definitley Re-Sign on an upgraded contract
sully - Definitley Re-Sign on an upgraded contract

Beattie - Gone, too slow and too old
Emilio - Gone, if you can't prove yourself in 2 years you aint worth keeping
Wessel - Sign on a 2 year contract on the same money (not much)
Newton - Upgraded contract
Peachy - Resign for 1 year on same contract
Seers - Gone
Saleh - Gone, at best resign for 10% less than what he is on now, for depth purposes
Nutley - Resign for 2 years on an upgraded contract, the only consistent forward we have had over the last 2 years
Bickerstaff - Gone
Ice - Gone
Gallen - Resign on a considerable upgrade, sign for 3 years
Sully - Resignon upgraded contract for 2 years. I'm not sure we will retain him, he is pretty keen to play half. Not so keen to play off the bench irrespective of what he tells the press.

Another of the personality selectors & shows obvious bias.
It's like the Merrit selection. He has done nothing at the Sharks & only played PL at Souths. somehow poeple here have turned him into a superstar.
ICeAxe & Bickers have been our best 2 forwards in many areas & are current first graders. Yet they get the axe but our premier league player J.Williams doesn't.
Peachey has played great 9/11 games yet he only gets a 1 year deal or a massive pay cut or released!!! Yet he is consistently one of our 3 best!

Newton is a axe. The bloke is a future star, look at how he stuck it to the likes of Webcke last year.

Bickerstaff offers the same as so many others in the team IMO. Thus I'd like to see another prop brought up(Newton) to cover for him with the Ice Man starting or Bailey in the 2nd row or something. I think there are players who can offer the team more than Bickerstaff does.

Plus with Beattie and maybe Nuts going I think some props should be brought up.

I'm not saying he's a rubbish player. But he's done nothing, whatever the excuse, so he doesn't deserve a contract upgrade. Maybe if he gets into firsts and shows a bit of fire then he can have one.

Definitely. Wouldn't let him go... but I wouldn't throw more money at him than he's currently getting.

I thought he played well in PL against the rorters when he came on.
But last year, even though most were singing his praises, I thought he was just silly.
There is a big difference to calling someone like webby names & actually replicating the week in week out efforts of a very tough man.
I didn't rate Newtons games last year at all.
Having said that, it was a different player I saw a few weeks ago & for the better.

I wouldn't throw money at him either. I'd make sure he stayed though.

He was all over the place last year when he came on. Pulling off hits, taking the ball up. He wanted to be in on everything. Same with Dumas. Both love the hard stuff. IMO he is one of the better lower grade props at the club

Peachey doesn't deserve, and isn't going to get, 330k a year Reefy. I want to keep him as shown by my statement "keep him on much less". By much less, I mean 150k less. He would still be collecting a very nice pay packet. He's still my favourite player but we can't keep paying him that much. Otherwise we lose him altogether I reckon.

Newton deserves an upgrade simply to keep other clubs away from him. He is a big star of the future an his latest form in PL reflects this.

Merrit is only on 120k a year atm and is not off contract. Hard to see why his name was brought up here, maybe just someone's agenda.

I missed the presentation to Peachey at the end of last weeks game but a mate of mine said that Barry Peirce announced they'd re-signed him for another 2 years.

Anyone else hear this or was it a mistake from my mate?

When they presented Peach with the game ball, Pierce wished him good luck for the next 2 years. It was all very ambiguous, but I hope he stays.

Pretty sure it's 120k. I remember Souths blowing up because we offered him double what they were paying him, which was 60k. I could be totally wrong though.
