CANTERBURY
Issues with their star player cruelled their season before it began.
Kasiano & Graham being injured more often than not affected the team's consistency and go-forward. Along with Barba, the big-men were the integral pieces to Canterbury's success in 2012. It just highlighted where the team's strengths were and how weak their roster actually is when they didn't have them.
NORTH QUEENSLAND
Don't let the end of season winning run and the 7-tackle try cloud judgement. This mob made it to semi-final weekend last season and were supposed to be top 4 this year but languished around the bottom 4 for most of the season. They only scrapped into the 8 with a round to spare.
A club side that can fit in two national starting props, the best half in the world with a very capable assistant by his side, a few other young turks on the cusp of state rep, as well as a couple experienced hands in the backline must perform better over the course of the season than this mob did.
Henry got the arse because he couldn't get a very good playing roster playing consistently well for several seasons.
