The Don Lane show was very popular and very comprehensive where they'd show all the highlights and 1 or even 2 games aswell voted in by the viewers bloody great it was.....it wen't to Ch 9 with Eddie Mc Guire for a while then disappered??

Ch9 - Eddie Mc Guire
Now there's a sports combo that SMELLS.....oops

Lane put genuine fan passion into those shows.

IM only 19 so I never got the chance to see old Donny boy talking about the NFL, and i always miss Wyatt's Touchdown show because I am at work.

The coverage is abysmal though, its fair enough though in many regards considering how very few people actually like or would devote a second of interest to gridiron in Australia.

Believe me Buffalo where a great side in the early 90's!!!!!!...4 straight Superbowls!!

Sorry mate i couldn't stop laughing about the infamous "blowout" that the Bills did back in the 90's...pity for you that my Cowboys wiped the floor with them not once but twice! hehehe ;-)

Although that comeback in 93 or 94 against Houston was awesome...Damn 3-31 at halftime without Kelly and Bennent and still won 41-38! :D

Yes, nice one mate..... two of the losses were to the Cowboys ....

:( :(

In hindsight it was not embarrassing to lose to that Cowboys side as that was one of the great sides I have seen...Emmitt in his prime, Aikman etc...

The worst loss for the Bills was their first superbowl versus the Giants....
They missed a field goal on the final play to lose by 1 point....The Bills were definately the best side in the NFL that year, ( they beat Oakland
51-3 in the AFC Championship game the week before...) Unfortunately in the big one they didn't play to their best.....

Good luck with the Cowboys this year though - I think you may be in for a long season.....

It was actually in 91.....Buffalo's second SuperBowl year!!,

Yeah Buffalo where without Kelly & Cornelius Bennet.....and Warren Moon for Houston was on fire to lead 31-3, then Frank Reich...Buffalo's second string quarter back engerineered the greatest comeback ever & his greatest moment in the NFL!!

The Cowboys where an awesome side!!....Emmet, Aikmen, Irvin, Alvin Harper, Charles Hayley.....one of the all time greatest sides!!

Buffalo had the 93 Superbowl in the bag at Half time 13-6......then???......choked

Yes, I often wondeed if the Bills had won that one, would they still have been blown out in the next 3, or would they have had the confidence to win more.

The infamous Scott Norwood missed that kick. The Bills kicker who replaced him, Canadian Steve Christie, would have made that one versus the Giants.

there was no way the bills or any other afc team was going to beat the redskins or cowboys in those three years. these teams were so far ahead of the opposition it wasn't funny.

Go Oakland!

Hopefully we'll be revenging the Superbowl loss this year, Richie Gannon and the boys taking it all the way!

Also a longtime Raiders fan (Canberra) It's great watching Cold canberra in the Winter and Sunny San Fran' in the Summer. They are both relatively young squads in the same rebuilding stage and it's fantastic enjoying both the overachieving success.

All the best everyone for an injury free season!

Any other Niners?

Dolphins fan here.
I live on the Gold Coast and the suburb of Miami is ten minutes away so that's how I picked the Dolphins.
