The roar suddenly look decent again.. If Sydney and Brisbane finish 5 and 6, there willbe a few concerned teams looking over their shoulders.

I think the Mariners will certainly be crapping themselves if they face Brisbane in Week 2.

I'm getting excited, we are certainly starting to turn it around. However we are still struggling turning our endless chances into goals.

"We wuz robbed".. is not a point..

It's a whinge and moan..

Soz.

Of course. When the supporter of another team complains, it's always a "whinge and moan"- until it affects a team you happen to support. Happens all the time across all sports codes...

Depends what the OP means by title.

Wanderers will win the plate, we'll win the seat. CCM v WSW Grand Final

You realise they have to actually win the GF for that don't you Timmah..

You seem overly optimistic of that, not sure what that's based upon though :)

Well that's true enough I suppose..

Cronulla fans have been saying that for a while though..

Just to clarify, when i said "A League Title winner" I mean the Grand Final Winner AKA the Toilet Seat Trophy

Ok i'll give my rundown on all 10 A-League Teams

Western Sydney Wanderers (1st, Played 25, 53 Points)
Unless Wanderers somehow lose their next 2 games and Mariners win their next 2 games, Wanderers will be the Premiers (Or as I like to call it Minor Premiers)

Central Coast Mariners (2nd, Played 25, 48 Points)
Unless what happens in the above scenario is true, Mariners will finish 2nd no matter what results happen in the last 2 rounds

Melbourne Victory (3rd, Played 25, 41 Points)
Guaranteed Top 4 spot. Will finish 3rd or 4th depending on results

Adelaide United (4th, Played 25, 40 Points)
Same as Melbourne Victory

Sydney FC (5th, Played 25, 31 Points)
Could make the finals on goal difference even if they lost their last 2 games

Newcastle Jets (6th, Played 26, 31 Points)
Must win their last game against Wanderers to make the finals

Brisbane Roar (7th, Played 25, 29 Points)
With their last 2 games at home and against teams (Melbourne Heart & Sydney FC) with poor away records Brisbane Roar will fancy their chances to make the finals

Perth Glory (8th, Played 25, 28 Points)
Have 2 tough games to finish the season Melbourne Victory (A) and Adelaide United (H) can't see them winning both

Melbourne Heart (9th, Played 25, 27 Points)
Have to win their last 2 games to make it, problem is that both games are away from home and Heart have a poor away record this season, can't see them winning either

Wellington Phoenix (10th, Played 26, 27 Points)
Can't make the finals even if they manage to win their final game of the regular season

So annoyed that Perth Glory beat the Tards (Melbourne Victory) last night, it means that Perth Glory are 1 point behind Sydney FC with 1 game to play. Come on Adelaide! need them to beat Perth next week to be sure that Sydney FC will be in the finals even if Sydney draws or loses to Brisbane Roar

Also hoping Brisbane Roar beats Yarraside Scum today to end their hopes of making the finals
hoping Wanderers can beat Newcastle Jets next week as well to end their hopes

Top 6 Prediction
1. Western Sydney Wanderers
2. Central Coast Mariners
3. Melbourne Victory
4. Adelaide United
5. Brisbane Roar
6. Sydney FC

My updated rundown on all 10 A-League Teams

Western Sydney Wanderers (1st, Played 26, 54 Points)
Win or Draw against Newcastle Jets and they will win the Premiers Plate, Lose and Mariners Win, Mariners will win the Premiers Plate

Central Coast Mariners (2nd, Played 26, 51 Points)
As stated in the above scenario If Mariners Win and Wanderers lose, Mariners will win the Premiers Plate, Otherwise any other scenario and Mariners will finish 2nd

Melbourne Victory (3rd, Played 26, 41 Points)
Guaranteed Top 4 spot. Will finish 3rd or 4th depending on results

Adelaide United (4th, Played 26, 40 Points)
Same as Melbourne Victory

Brisbane Roar (5th, Played 26, 32 Points)
A win and Brisbane Roar will make the finals, a draw or loss and Brisbane Roar may not make the finals

Sydney FC (6th, Played 26, 32 Points)
A win and Sydney FC will make the finals, a draw or loss and Sydney FC may not make the finals

Perth Glory (7th, Played 26, 31 Points)
a win against Adelaide or a draw and both Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets losing will mean Perth Glory will make the finals, a loss will mean they don't make the finals

Newcastle Jets (8th, Played 26, 31 Points)
a win against the Wanderers or a draw and both Sydney FC and Perth Glory losing will mean Newcastle Jets will make the finals, a loss will mean they don't make the finals

Melbourne Heart (9th, Played 26, 27 Points)
Out of finals contention, in a battle to avoid the wooden spoon

Wellington Phoenix (10th, Played 26, 27 Points)
Same as Melbourne Heart

CCM will thrash Heart and that'll make the game at Hunter probably one of the most desperate in recent years. WSW will do enough to finish on top though.

And I think Perth and Brisbane will get 5th and 6th.

Round 27 Results so far

Brisbane Roar 3 Sydney FC 1
Newcastle Jets 0 Western Sydney Wanderers 3

This Means
  • Wanderers have secured the Premiers Plate
  • Brisbane Roar have secured a finals spot
  • Sydney FC or Perth Glory will get the final spot in the top 6
