bennett had teams up in brisbane that were notorious at fading as well

all we have been suggesting in this thread is that the dragons don't have the guys that can genuinely take them to the next level when the stakes are raised. they were embarrassingly caught out last year

even if they have learnt, i just wonder where the next gear will come from
How many comps has Benny won ? I know his win/loss ratio for GF's is second to none.

Soward has been quiet thus far, Gaz coming on board, Fein to return. I think we have a bit left. Is it enough to win the comp. We'll chat again in the 2nd week of october.

 Why can't you dumbass Merge supporters accept the fact that your team is horrible to watch.

The Storm has dominated the past few years yet a lot of people have found them boring, though they generally scored a lot of points. Just because you score points it doesn't mean your team isn't boring. I think the general consensus is that most people would rather watch the World Chess Grand Prix than watch your team play a game of football

so what other teams are capable of going up another gear also, the dragons may not need to change gears, so far there isnt really a team what has shown it can lift in attack or defense , Its either one or the other not both at the same time.

That gives the dragons advantage , yes finals are a different game but as you said it also a different year.

So its not only the dragons what need to lift the other sides have to show it at well

we will, we will

Gaz is one of your hopes. i don't know what french rugby did for him though.

Fein...meh

Soward, still developing as a player. I just think he has the MIA's about him. Good on his day though

So you have taken a poll have you?

I can understand the people who live in the shytehole that is Canberra having no idea at all. Only a brain dead Canberran would know that there is a world chess grand prix. Enjoy the semis without any lime green whatsoever.

You did see Fein's 1st half against Parra before he broke his leg. Totally different team in attack. I for one am looking forward to his return, it willprovide a different dimension to our attack. Compared to priddis Fein is a ferrari.

 Mate people thought the Storm were boring, and on this site Merge have polled higher boring than the Storm. Surely that says something to you

 Brain dead Canberran. I love the inferiority complex shown towards Canberrans by mongs on the site.
I would hate to come from a place with a lower crime rate, higher rate of tertiary education, higher literacy & numeracy levels, higher level of disposable income and lower unemployment rate than the rest of the nation.

You forgot to add porn capital of Australia and boring as hell, the only thing Canberra is good for is stopping by McDonalds on the drive through on the way to the snow :sarcasm:

The only thing this poll shows is people hate the teams who are on top. Melbourne would have won this poll 2 years ago. At the end of the day it's irrelevant, we don't play to entertain fans of other clubs, we play to win and we're damn good at it.

This is a ridiculuos supposition.
RL played to win can never be "horrible".

On the other hand - playing a brand of RL designed to bend every rule, (slowing the play the ball, grapples, chicken-wings) in order to minimise your opposition's scoring ability is an ugly, ugly kind of football.
I fail to see how StG-Ill are bending any rules - thereby producing un-attractive RL.

There is nothing wrong (IMO) with exceptionally strong defence, and capitalizing on an opposition mistake. StG-Ill don't knock-on for the other team, nor do they force them to kick and chase poorly.

If you want to watch completely open, ad-lib, so-called "attractive" RL, there's a competition designed just for you: the NYC.
Don't worry - there are plenty of good seats available at every game...
And when you get tired of the 52-42 scorelines, hang around and watch a bit of NRL.

Mainly because the population consists of bureaucrats and public servants who are required to live in the region by virtue of their career decisions.

Very few live there by choice..

Indeed. If anyone wants ad-lib footy or big scorelines, watch the Sydney Rugby Yawnion competition. Those features don't make it any more exciting..

Good to see you love the place but let's face facts: Canberra is one of the most boring sh!tholes in the world.

Don't worry Moffo, I'm pretty sure St Merge Choke fans know deep down their team is f**king useless when they are under the slightest bit of pressure
